Why You Should Take Up Birding
Perhaps you've seen them down at the park, at a nature reserve, or at a lake. People peering up into the trees with binoculars, or finding an ordinary-looking bush very fascinating for some reason. Maybe they're on the shoreline of a reservoir, gawking through what appears to be a small telescope. Before you assume that they're all creepy peeping toms, ask one of them what they're doing. You should do this, first of all, so you can rest assured that they are actually looking at birds. Second, birders are often giddy to share with passersby what they're looking at. Such is the joy of natural discovery.

Dog Is Man’s Best Friend?
Growing up with dogs, I always believed the saying “dogs are a man’s best friend.” I had an all black shepherd/lab mix named Bo. He was my mom’s best friend. My sisters and I were the first to say our mom would choose Bo over us (she wouldn’t really, but man it felt like it sometimes). Bo was mom’s eye in the hurricane— he always knew how to calm her down and make her smile. He was exactly what she needed in any situation— the epiphany of a best friend.

I Was a Dog-Walker for Three Months - This is What Happened
In the last few months I have earned great joys and great hardships. One of those hardships occurred when my part-time coffee job told me I was not meeting the job requirements as expected and I was let go. I was crushed, I felt betrayed, and I was cripplingly afraid about money. I had to cancel a big trip, use a credit card to put gas in my car, and rely largely on recycling money and whatever odd jobs I could pick up to help friends with their bigger chores. Thankfully, I live with my parents so I wasn't worried about having somewhere to stay. Yet I knew I only had a small amount saved to help me pay my car insurance. So when I found a dog-walking app called Wag!, I signed up right away. I was not 100 percent sure of what to expect, but I knew that I needed to try this out.

10 Top Tips for Taking Your Dog on Holiday
"What about this one?" I ask my partner for the fourth time. He sighs and looks at me. "Nope, no shade." We have been for a strenuous 5-hour walk and are wondering the streets of Pamplona, Spain looking somewhere to stop for a cold drink and a rest. It is not as simple as you might think as our 3-year-old Rottweiler, Sky, trots on beside us.

Things I've Learned as an Equestrian
I was about eleven years old when I came across my first video of someone jumping their horse over a three foot vertical. That was when I got the idea of going professional in the sport.I began riding in the western discipline but it wasn't until I switched to English that I learned a lot of valuable life lessons that would stay with me throughout my time.
