17 Extinct Dog Breeds You Never Knew Existed
I'll admit it. I'm a history buff, and part of my love of history includes a desire to learn about all the little differences that people took for granted back in the day. Small things, like learning what foods people went without or what now-forgotten books people read, make up a huge part of my reading time.

CBD Oil and Biscuits for Mad Cow Disease in Dogs
Most of you may have heard about the mad cow disease that easily affects dogs. However, it is basically a common term used for BSE or Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy. Mad cow disease is mainly a neurodegenerative disease found in cattle. In simple terms, it means that it's a disease that gradually destroys the brain cells. The primary cause of mad cow disease is a deformed protein that is also known as prion. If a mammal has prion in its body, the protein will also make other types of proteins to replicate the similar deformed structure. As a result of this, a dangerous chain reaction starts off in the body.

Ocean Ramsey and the Endangerment of Pregnant Sharks
On January 15th, 2018, Ocean Ramsey, a scuba shop keeper, model, shark conservation activist, and self-proclaimed marine biologist had a close encounter with a pregnant great white shark off the coast of Hawaii after she had just started feeding on the carcass of a sperm whale. As the story goes in regards to Ocean’s encounter with the 20-foot shark, Ocean, and her staff were spending the day observing tiger sharks when the animal appeared, along with a pod of dolphins that accompanied her. From there, Ocean began to swim close to her which led to the interaction between her and the shark that involved her petting the animal, and even riding on the animal’s dorsal fin. While there is no argument that Ocean had a beautiful experience with the shark, it was also a dangerous one as well.

The Dog That Thinks She's Human
This is Little Miss. The dog that thinks she's human... or a cat. She just turned seven years old and this is where she sleeps most of the time. We made Little Miss a member of the family when she was just a pup. We tried training her to sleep in a dog bed on the floor, but she would spend all night crying and my sensitive heart couldn't take the sadness. We decided to let her sleep with us and she went right to my husbands pillow. And that is where it started. Instead of teaching her to sleep at the foot of the bed, he allowed her to stay on his pillow. And now, seven years later, this is normally where she sleeps.

Shorty
After working for years in animal shelters and rescue, I have seen things I wish I could forget. Sometimes, we need to focus on the positive and learn from the negative. We MUST educate the public and tell the stories of those with no voice to ensure that future generations can make better choices.

Facts About Elephants
Nowadays, people are taking away elephants and their habitats. People are poaching elephants for so many reasons but the main reason is for their tusks, which are ivory, which they use to make jewelry and pieces of art. Elephants will be going extinct if we do not take action to stop the poaching of elephants and help conserve their habitat. Every day, people are taking over the elephants' land and turning it into farms, which leaves the elephants no place to live.

Buddies for Life
I would have never imagined that his breath would give me chills. We had been living under the same roof for almost six years. After a chain of mysterious coincidences, he ended up here, in my tiny little flat, furnished with the generosity of my friends, relatives, neighbours and even my driving teacher. Just entering the flat, you were trapped in a bizarre combination of colours, materials and styles. Mixing curtains and lamps from IKEA with my granny’s furniture would certainly be a nightmare to anyone remotely interested in design. But he didn’t really care. It didn’t seem to disturb his inner peace at all. Or at least, that’s what I had always thought.
