Are you thinking about getting a new pup?
**Well this is what you need to know first**
Food:
Having your puppy on a healthy, rich in nutrients, and affordable for the pup parents to afford is key to a long and happy relationship for the both of you. When looking at brands, think to yourself, can I make this at home? Or think if i had to eat one meal a day where would i want it to be a juicy big mac or homemade salad? Although both can be satisfying you must decide which one is better for you body.
The food that you decide on for your pup will be the food that they eat each and everyday.
Here are a few ingredients to stay away from. Corn, Grains, Preservatives, Dyes, and other Synthetic Ingredients. These are all filler ingredients that you should look out for in dog brands. They are used as supplements to to replace natural proteins such as what is found in meat. These ingredients are also harder for your puppy/ dog to digest.
Additional Expenses:
A puppy will also need treats, toys, and a place to call their own. The treats are key for training and to build communication between you and your puppy. Aside for gratifying head, back, tummy rubs; this will show your puppy that you are happy with their current behavior. Or just happy to see them! Toys are great for puppies to not only hold their attention while you can not be present but also to divert them from possibly finding other things to eat on around the house. This then leads to having a place to call their own. As a puppy this may need to be an enclosed area such as a kennel, play pin, or dog gate. When they get older this could be just a dog bed. Another cool addition are dog bones, while still checking out ingredients, these are a good way for a dog to pass by time. While some also have additional health tips that you can check out at your local stores.
Time:
This is a very important part to think about as well. Although dogs are a great addition to a family they will need your time and attention to become the companion that you desire. This includes a scheduled feeding, time to play, and time for training. Once on a schedule this relationship, with a happy puppy and owner, will feel like a breeze.
So with this in mind If you want to get a new puppy and /or to adopt a dog, then this is what you need to think about. Can I supply these three simple tasks?
If your answer is yes then this is the best part
Picking your breed!
Think like using a dating application you must find which dog will suit you and your family best. Rather that is a lap dog, sports dog, or a huge lazy dog. All of these breeds are very different and will bring out different great characteristics for their parents. Although, whichever you choose all new puppies can bring a light to a new home, and not only for the parents but even the children. A new puppy has several perks, such as, less anxiety about being at home, can get you out and exercising, and can even get you socialized upon doing things such as long walks and dog parks.
Your new dog should be seen as a friend and a companion to bring out more happiness in yourself, for the pup, and your family.
