Dear Diary, I

Thoughts of a Perfectly Shiny Black Cat

Sometime you just have to sit and ponder about life.

Dear Diary,

I have loved and I have lost. So many times. I mean every time up until now. For the first time in my life, I found someone I thought I could settle for you know? Even though he is nothing like what I imagined I would settle for, he seems to have all the right qualities and goals I put on my vision board. We clicked as soon as we swiped right on Kinder... umm that stands for Kitty Tinder in case you need some enligtening. It was love at first video chat, and we were ready to settle down and rule the World together. He swept me off my paws. It was as if everything on my vision board were starting to manifest themselves.

Even though we were still on two different continents, he used to stay up all night talking to me. I was his World and he was mine. I couldn't help but dream of when he would finally visit me. We would be the cutest cats in town, and our love would be like no other. He would spoil me and take me on adventures. He would shower me with kisses, cuddle me when we stay inside and watch TV on rainy days, and curl up by the fire on snowy days. We would have the cutest kittens and we would build the perfect house for them. Our humans would be the best; we want two of them. They would make sure to serve our every needs and dedicate their free time pampering us. Everything would be perfect.

Unfortunately, everything wasn't perfect. For whatever stupid reason, the dogs are in charge of border control of the Kitty Kingdom. As much as I hate to tell you this, dogs have the upper hand when it comes to manipulating humans because they have managed to suck up to the humans enough to be named as 'A MaN's BEst FriEnd'. Bullshit I tell you! They are just better at bootlicking - a pathetic level of submissiveness we would never stoop to. Humans are meant to serve and protect us and our only duty in life is to enjoy ourselves. In other words: dogs are pathetic.

Now back to my story, everything was going great but the wait of meeting up kept getting longer. The border control Dogs were being pretty useless in helping him board a plane that would bring him to me; something about a pandumbic that are killing them at a very fast rate. I still fail to understand how that's my problem.

Anyways, so after waiting more than a year we have finally managed to make a plan to meet up somewhere. I am going to have to make my escape from here, and meet him on a faraway island. It's the only place where we have both managed to get a flight to. I know my friends think I have totally lost my mind, and my escape would definitely upset my human, but I have to know what he is like in real life. I have waited too long for this. I have to go live my life best life and take a chance.

My human is going on a summer escape pretty soon. I know because she has been doing this every June since she got me and she has been packing for a month. I have been carefully tracking the days in my mud calendar in the backyard. I have received news from the underworld that the security at the airport is tighter and traveling has become much harder, but I have got the right connections. The dogs may be stupid, but they know how to get their way around humans. So, I have only got to wait exactly eight days before I can meet my love, who by the way, goes by the name of Moon. Isn't that romantic? I can't wait to meet my love and have my perfect summer vacation. So here I come, Maldive Islands!
