Cat has 3 friends for life

Cats take friendship very seriously

Cats are not always solitary, they also have friends.

In addition to their kind, cats may also consider humans, and even some other animals, as friends.

However, in contrast to the natural warmth of canines, most cats are aloof and prefer friendship to lack.

Zoologists have found that a cat is already a friend to an animal (human) when it regularly behaves in the following ways.

The cat will share food with it, or even hunt with the other person.

The cat will not see it die, and when it finds it injured the cat will try to rescue it.

The cat will frequently play with it, or spend time with it.

Before dying, the cat will purposely go to its place or the place where it spent its life.

Cats can develop deep bonds, even lifelong friendships, with other animals.

Unlike many animals, it is not cats or humans that are most likely to become friends with cats.

Zoologists have observed 200 cats and their "friends" in the wild and found that there are three types of animals that can easily become friends with cats.

Owls: One of the lifelong friends of many cats is the owl, which can be considered a "large" bird for cats. In some areas, cats and owls can often be seen nearby. The most surprising thing is that owls will cooperate with cats to hunt rodents and share food.

Monkeys: In places where there are wild monkeys, cats can easily become the monkeys' favorite animal. Some monkeys will take the initiative to raise unattended young cats, and some monkeys will even help cats hunt together. In addition to monkeys, scientists have also observed other primates' natural affection for cats. Some chimpanzees rescue injured cats and find food for them to eat. Cats, on the other hand, seem to have no natural aversion to monkeys and can form some kind of friendship.

Sheep and deer: Sheep deer herds and some other herbivores, love cats. Because cats can provide some kind of "warning signal" for sheep and deer. Some wild cats like to move with the sheep or herbivores because there are rodents that eat some residual food from the herbivores. The feces of herbivores can also attract some prey for cats.

Zoologists have found that animals that can become friends with cats generally have to have several characteristics.

Do not compete with the cat for food, but at the same time can also provide more food resources for the cat

Can provide some kind of help to the cat. Owls can assist cats in hunting, monkeys can groom cats, and sheep and deer are protection for cats.

The cat itself cannot prey on these animals. As adults, owls are already unpredictable for many cats. Monkeys and sheep are even more difficult for cats.

Some European zoologists have regarded this behavior of cats as some kind of "alternative symbiotic or companion behavior". It is even believed that cats first approached humans because they were used to being around these "large animals" in the wild.

Cat-cat friendships require a "childhood foundation.

Cats will only consider the cats they know before the age of 6 as friends. And the younger they are, the easier it is to become friends.

Zoologists have found that after the age of 6, it is difficult for cats to build deep trust in animals and people.

This is why many people who have cats will try not to have new cats older than 6 years old.

If the cat met another cat before it was 9 months old and grew up together. Then the two cats can easily develop a friendship, even if there has been some cat fighting as adults, and some sort of general bonding will remain.

Zoologists have found that domesticated cats will generally have three friends in their lifetime.

One of the cat brothers from the same litter will be one that the cat is particularly fond of. If raised together, they are likely to become close cat companions.

Domesticated cats will have a friend among the humans they meet. Often it will be the cat's owner or someone who grooms the cat regularly.

Cats will also find their friends among the other animals they always come into contact with. A domesticated cat, for example, can easily become good friends with one of the family's dogs.

In the wild, before dying, cats will head to an animal friend they know well to say their final goodbyes.

Humans have observed scenarios where a cat on its deathbed spins around a tree stump where a monkey once used to play with the cat, and although the monkey has been dead for three years, the cat still remembers its friend.

Cats value friendship, only they express indifference.

Because cats live in a world that is full of crises and challenges, they cannot show their emotions too bluntly.

For cats, they will consider those animals that are of assistance value to them and do not grab food, as important friends.

If you want to be good friends with a cat, treat it kindly and make yourself a trusted person to the cat.
