Animal Cruelty

Animal abuse and neglect: why do people do it? I understand that you may be upset and you may be a physical person that wants to take your anger out on another thing, but why abuse an animal? Animal cruelty is a very common issue in this world and us humans are not doing any action to stop this. Animal abuse and neglect is a very serious issue that many people are ignoring. The definition of animal cruelty is “failure to take care of an animal”. There are many animals that get neglected, experimented on, beaten up and many worse things happen to them every single day. Most of the time, they get abused for things they didnt do and the most common reason why the owner might do this is because their owner is mad at something totally unrelated to the animal. The most common things people do in abuse or neglect is shoot or stab them, set them on fire, not give them the proper food or water, or not groom them properly. They do all this to the poor animal and the animal doesn't even know why he/she deserves it. Abuse and neglect is wrong, every living thing deserves to be treated with love and care. If the animal did do something wrong they didn’t mean to hurt anyone, so why abuse or neglect the animal. Some animals even get abused in movies like in The Hobbit.

Animal abuse and cruelty takes place all around the world. Although, there are laws that goes into protecting them however they do not work in all countries. This is because of different opinions concerning the animals’ purpose in the lives of humans.

In China, there are no laws to prevent animal mistreatment. Here is one way how an animal is being treated in China. In China, they boil live cats. They first get transported in a truck with a ton of other cats, some having missing tails and others- crushed. Then the cooks, beat the cat with a stick, dump them into a fur-removal machine and boil them alive. Their words “The worse you treat them, the better they taste” In my opinion, I think this is very wrong and disgusting and no animal should have to go through this stuff. They should be loved and cared for, not beaten and eaten.

In Korea, it is very similar. People steal pet dogs from their owners and are sold then killed in brutal ways such as beating and electrocution. Laws for animal abuse are very weak in Korea. This can not continue. This is very hurtful and unfair to these animals and they do not deserve to be treated like this.

Abuse and neglect hurts, animals or any living creature deserves to be treated with love and care, not with hate and abuse. Most people abuse their pets for things that have nothing to do with the animal. If whatever you are mad at is not the animals fault why punish it? Animals need to know that they are loved because all living things need the proper care, so they are not abused or neglected for no reason.

Animals are living things too, they deserve to be treated just like you and me. If you would not like to be abused or neglected then why do it to an animal. Animals have rights just like us so let them live like a person deserves to live because they’re just like us. Animals are being abused and neglected every day all around the world, and it is up to us to stop it.
