When the Hard Work of Perfection is Done...
Deepest fears or inabilities
The most profound personal-growth seminars I lead are those that address our deepest fears or inabilities.
What are we afraid of? Are there even "true" fears? Is there any way to overcome fear? Is there any way to find the source of fear?
You could say there is no way to find the origin of fear because it is something we're not even entirely aware of. It is something completely unknowable. However, I believe we can overcome fear, find the source, find the solution and start living the life that feels right for us.
One of the most common fears is fear of failure. Many of us grew up watching our Competitors perform in those all-important debut televised performances, only to be told by our parents that it's a bad idea to try such an act; it's dangerous; it'll never work.
We all learned that we should always play it safe, follow the path of least resistance and do things the way they've always been done. But how much truth is in that statement? What is "right" for us? Are they? Does it even MATTER? Things we are afraid of and won't do. Our subconscious minds? It begins with the things that scare us and paralyze us.
It is our decision to do or not do these things and it is our decision we make to ignore the way things should be done. It is our decision to let our fears and inhibitions stop us from doing what is right for us.
I believe that these fears and inhibitions are essentially bad in themselves. And that in itself is enough reason for us to do them or not do them. The only thing stopping us is our own choices. The choice we make to ignore the way things should be done.
If there is a god, or any force that could be so benevolent as to bring us happiness, it will not be long before we reach the highest spiritual plane where we can contemplate the beauty of our creations. Our creations, which are divine gifts from our creator. Our creator will then be watching us very intently, for the first time ever in our lives. It will be the first time ever seeing us in such a way and the beauty and majesty of our creations will be projected on to the full moon.
When we were on earth, we had a tendency to focus on the 'what if's' and forget the why. Now however, that we are on the other side of the veil, we can see the why is immeasurably important. To see the why, it is necessary to focus on this full moon. The why must be absolute, before any why may come forth. The why must be absolute to allow the manifestation to begin. Only by focusing on this absolute core will we then allow the rest of our fears and inhibitions to dissipate and to evaporate... to be lost in time and space and not hold us back. Our purpose now is to focus only on why and allow it to be absolute, to become a true expression of our divinity.
To focus on fear is to allow it freedom to come forth to become the manifestation of our ego and our individuality. Ego and individuality, when they are allowed to be free to come into the light of absolute truth, are powerful forces. The more free they are, the more powerful they become. When they become a true expression of the divinity and the self, they become the powerful beings that we know them to be.
To be afraid of not being perfect, of having moments of doubt, of having moments of fear, is to be in a state of illusion that limits our divinity. This illusion we allow, because that is what allows us to avoid the hard work of looking at hard truths. This hard work is the only way to the knowing of our divinity and the free to express it. This hard work is what can transform our soul and take us to the heights of our selfhood.
