When Life Moves, So Do Dreams
A journey from bungalow walls to words on a keyboard

Here is a true story of my neighbor who shared her thoughts with me. I have written it for her.
We cannot avoid change yet sometimes, it is not pleasing. I had a dream to write down my thoughts so that I could express my feelings and reactions. Due to lack of certainty, I could not proceed as it generally happens with any dream. I kept postponing with an excuse I wasn't prepared, or that my words wouldn't be heard. My pen stayed quiet as time elapsed quietly.
I was unaware of an unpleasant surprise in waiting. We, lived in a big bungalow for many years after we had to move into an apartment. The bungalow where I lived was more than just a living place; it was a sanctuary and an archive of precious memories.
The idea of leaving it and its familiar surroundings made me miserably sad. I was quite uncertain about the place where we were shifting thinking: How could something strange feel like home?
Our new apartment was spacious, pleasant, and decent, yet, I wasn't pleased. The walls seemed to confine me, and I missed my spacious bungalow. The home, surroundings and people were all unfamiliar to me. This inner rejection of the place made me believe that choosing it was a mistake.

I have witnessed that life is often unpredictable, surpassing our expectations and assumptions.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After a year of settling here one evening, my next-door neighbor, a gentleman, visited. It was pleasing to talk to him. He possessed the type of humility that is built-in rather than acquired. We exchanged pleasantries about our professions, passions, and priorities. He discussed his experiences, his love for reading, and the simple pleasures of writing.
Meanwhile, I revealed almost hesitantly, that I had always wanted to write. But I could never start.
"I've been too confused," I admitted. "I don't know if my words will mean to anyone."
He assured me that every voice matters. Even if your words are only for yourself, they are still worth writing. People love to read the natural flow of emotions.
I found his advice meaningfully elevating. He asked me to start by sharing simply my true thoughts. His advice stayed with me long after he left that evening, like a soft nudge. My confidence boosted and my determination assured me to proceed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------Afterwards, one day, I sat by the window and started writing. I felt blank. Ideas were there but disconnected. Despite that, I continued connecting words one after another and let my emotions flow freely. Soon, I finished a paragraph; my excitement accelerated and my confidence was motivated. I had written many paragraphs before I realized it.
I hope to find peace and contentment in writing in the days to come by expressing my feelings and experiences through words and sharing hopes, dreams, worries, and uncertainties. It doesn't matter if my words are grandiose; what matters is that they are my own. I will express my feelings and experiences through the words.
It matters not if my words are high-sounding. It's enough they are mine.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I look back my doubts about my new apartment proved false. I understand. Life has a typical way of connecting dots we didn't know existed.
A turning point in my life became memorable. It forced me out of my comfort zone and provided me with inspiring space, I needed to pursue a long-cherished desire. The apartment I once rejected became a place where I found my voice.
As we know, life often goes in circles. The end of the old is the only way to start something new. Some events in life appear to be gloomy prove later the most preferred ones. I put off my writing plan now and then I wasn't prepared for it. The informal meeting with my thoughtful neighbor taught me that we are never fully prepared in advance we need to start first.

Life gives the most precious lessons through challenges. Accept change with a positive mindset to attract positivity in everything, everywhere.
