What Fear is

Liberation from the unknown

Fear is both a noun and a verb. The noun definition is as such: An unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. The verbal definition means to be afraid of (someone or something) as likely to be dangerous, painful, or threatening. These two definitions have a convergence of the "belief" that something is dangerous while it never says that it actually is.

Everyone has had something that they were afraid of but did anyway. The fear that one has faced was bigger in the mind than it was in reality. How could fear then be a great and conquering force? The answer is that it really isn't, it just appears as such. My definition of the word fear is: False Evidence Appearing Real. This false evidence is the root of what fear is and can be. While one might think that they are being judged in a moment for what they do, see or feel they are focusing on just that "feeling". This can be false and although it can be life threatening it mostly doesn't matter in the grand scheme.

Fear is nothing but chaos that has yet to be realized. It is the weakened ego whose purpose is to stop disaster and humiliation. Some would say that a healthy dose of fear is always appropriate to have as it is necessary for survival. To this, I say, nay. Fear holds no value due to its incapacitating capabilities which hinder one from a true revelation or harnessing courage.

It is ignorant to say that if one were fearless that they would do something detrimental to their livelihood. 99% of the time fear is just a signal for an individual to fervently engage in the "deadly" practice. Anything worth gaining either takes awhile to get or is beyond the wall of fear. There is no other answer to fear but courage. The worst that could happen is rejection, denial or loss. All three of these scenes are not the end of anything and if they are, was it not meant to be?

Step by step

1. Seek that which you fear for knowledge is its opposite.

2. Once felt, use fear as a guide for further exploration

3. Fear is false but embarrassment is real, neither matter and both build thick skin.

4. When you are engaging in an activity that you felt fear of, revel in your own courage so that your body remembers it for the next time.

5. Do not stop on your journey through fear because courage needs to be lifelong.

The fragrance of success is greater than the stench of failure. If you are to become what you wish it be then you must first stink in order to get clean. It is only because we have success that failure is its tool. These 3 sentences also relate to the judgement of others.

Fear's cousin is judgement because its absolute and stifling. Judgment does not take into consideration the full being of an individual but of one or two actions witnessed by those who are jaded or closed minded. The popular saying is that "Only God can judge me/you". This is true even if you don't believe in God. How can anyone accurately judge you when the totality of who you are is not always shown to everybody?

Only the one who has the absolute knowledge of who you are can have the ability to judge you, this person, is you. Also, what if I told you that once you judge yourself that they ability for others to judge you increases drastically. Judge not your actions but feel their value and the fear of judgement will dissipate.

Hate is the third head of fear. The word hate comes as an intense loathing or disgust for something or someone. Hate is ignorance and fear through rage. If anyone hates then they are afraid of what they experienced. Knowledge is one part of overcoming hate, the other is value. Those who hate do not know the value of what they hate so it continues to devour them.

Racism is one huge example of hate. Those who hold that one race is greater than the next do not know the value of themselves nor others and are frustrated by it. Love is the opposite of hate because even when all is not known it gives anyway and holds nothing to be divided.

In order to live in love and not hate one must understand the unknown and accept it. The person who asks for help and admit he knows little will be given more answers than the one who boasts of knowing all knowledge.

This is why love is stronger than hate, for hate is the acceptance of ignorant circumstance and love is the non-acceptance of ignorance and the acceptance of limited knowledge. If you grow and inch everyday it is better than growing instantly 3 ft every year because the ladder would help you adjust far quicker than the former. You will see that those who have hate in their hearts usually jump to conclusions.

Conclusion

Death comes to those who do not live life to its fullest. Hate, judgement and fear all hinder the true expression of life. Become pure by return these words from whence they came, the abyss. They are hollow and hold no substance such as light, love and forgiveness. These are the true words of creation and if used and given, they shall be given to you.
