We're going to Win This and here's why
Notes to the tribe

We are going to win this and here’s exactly why: We are winners, just accept it now. We were born a winner. As babies, we never took one look at ourselves and thought, “Damn I’m a loser.” Nope, we just laughed and played and screamed so loud because we knew someone would be there when we called. We accepted our greatness so profoundly that we trust everything we need would be done as we ask. The mark of true winners.
We win because we’ve learned to adapt to life so well that even when faced with a worldwide pandemic, we find healthy ways to adapt and thrive, using such unsettling conditions to go within and find true meaning in life. We self-heal and self-soothe with the positive intention of making it through or just feeling better.
We win because we wake up every morning face every uncertainty and choosing to believe something amazing will happen that day. Or at least something will happen today. We may wake up and not knowing if we’re going to make it out with our lives, but we manage to make it to dinner.
We win because even when we think we cant do it, we go back as far as we can and hit the ground running. We take that leap and soar to heights we didn’t believe possible.
We win because when we are defeated, we eventually gain the strength to push forward another day. We win because when life brings us to our knees, we make the decision to go on even if we’re crawling. See life may smack us down and spit in our face and throw us away and say “deal with it!”. We still find a way to make it there because you’re still here.
We win because when we take that final breath, we hope to look at our lives and think “ I showed up and rocked the damn world.” When none of this matters anymore what will matter then? What counts as a true winner, who wins the real prize? What were you really here for and did you ever truly figure that out? Who did you help, who did you heal? Did you even heal yourself? Now that changes things a bit.
All this talk about winning and we never defined what it truly means to win. Its seems nice to say “I got the trophy, or I was the best at this and that. I was right. I did all the things and got all the proof.” But what happens when you are at home in your living room and get a call from the police asking if you can come to identify a body? What happens when you are out with your family and receive a text saying,” pray now, someone you love has been in a terrible accident. What happens when prayer doesn’t work so you’re on the next plane to Virginia to view the body for your 25-year-old son? Suddenly we considered a win becomes some irrelevant desire from temporary pleasure, and nothing else matters at that moment. So again what does it mean to win?
You are a winner because you exist. Your willingness to come here to this physical reality and become you is the greatest thing you could have ever done. The contract you made before your birth ensured a very necessary thing would happen, you would expand and create. You are a winner because you said “I’m going to go create a game of my life while on earth and I will win, and win, and win again.” You’re a winner because you brave the storms and keep sailing. You are a winner because as you write the story of your life how you want it to be, you write yourself as someone who knows who they are and that, no doubt, is a winner.
You see, you are a winner because winning is the only real outcome. We know that someone has to win, and we also know that someone will also lose, but winning is the only real outcome because of choice.
Choice changes the game because now the outcome is determined by us. We can choose to say “since there has to be a loser it might as well be me.” In the same, you can very well claim “since there has to be a winner, I choose me.” You may now think, “what about when we just lose because we’re not strong enough or smart enough or qualified against our opponent?” It’s crucial that we identify who our opponent is. Who is the real opponent? Is it that high school friend that’s making millions why we struggle to pay rent, or is it the girl who steals your man who you honesty already lost interest? Is it that crappy boss who shouldn’t the boss of anyone or anything? Or it the person who triggers that deep trauma that makes us get all spicy and irrational?
No…. Our only opponent is ourselves.
When we realize we are the stronger player, the obstacle, the mountain that stands in the way of our own success, we accept winning or losing is always a choice. Even when we make the wrong play too many times, we have a choice to accept defeat or accept the lesson; to either hold a grudge or show good sportsmanship and forgive; to lay there and expect someone to trade places or get up and dust ourselves off and keep going. We all have a choice that will determine whether or not we are true winners. It’s the choice to even choose to win at all. And no matter the choice, you’ll always get whatever you choose, so in theory, you still always win.
So do yourself and the world a favor and choose to win, and recognize that you still win every time, even if is not the prize you thought you wanted because you gain something that can get you whatever you want and that is faith. Faith, which creates confidence that it’s already done. The faith which causes you to go for that dream that the world really needs. Faith even as small as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain “Move!” and it must move!
Again I say to you, we are going to win this, and here is truly why: it is done to you as you believe. Ask and it is given because you are worthy of all good things. There is nothing you can’t have, be, say, or do as long as it is in alignment with the true winner that is you. Let’s get out there and give it our best, lead by example, and believe in ourselves even our rawest moments. Know life opens to you as you open to it; appreciate every moment. Love on your family and Our dear Mother Earth. But most of all remember to love yourself for you can only give as much as you possess.
We win because even if we lose, we win in dynamic ways. Resolve right now in your mind that it is already done.
Or don’t. It’s your choice
