Thinking Outside the Box

Happiness Flows where the Mind Goes

Let me take you back to 1989 when the first Dragon Ball Z series came out, it was a year before I was born in 1990. I continue to enjoy their different shows over the years and their different movies and series. No matter what is going on around me in my life I can always count on this anime to cheer me up especially during dark times in my own life. I been through a lot of dark times throughout my life from childhood, even though I did not understand much back then, up until the life I live today as a young adult. Dragon Ball Z helped me cope with my problems and issues as a child and young adult, the show encouraged me to be a better person and to help others no matter how hard life gets. Also, it gave me a way to escape from the pain that I felt over the years. It brought me joy, happiness, sorrow and laughter into my life. It showed me that no matter how hard life gets that we are the only real heroes in our lives to make it better. To make someone else’s life better by sharing our passion for the show or by simply just being a better friend, brother, son, or other half. That is what this TV series has done for me many times over. I am still no where perfect by any means, but I try to live a better life by watching others who have succeeded and knowing that if they can do it, then so can we.

I believe that now, more than ever we need encouragement, motivation, determination, perseverance, drive and grit to be able to create a better life for ourselves and our families. During this time, in Isolation away from some family and friends we need to use this time wisely and not waste it while we are on lock down in our homes.

I know how hard it is to not have a decent income rolling in every so often by working a day job, but in my gut I have always believed that no matter how hard I work at a day job the owner of the company makes more money than anyone else working for him or her. The lowest I’ve made at a job is $7.35 hr back in 2010 at a fast food joint and the highest I’ve made working a security job was $15 hr both jobs I would get paid bi-weekly so every other week on Friday or whichever day it was. Granted, I made okay money as a security guard, working long hours, bored out of my mind, and fell asleep on job on multiple occasions since I was alone working by myself mostly at jobs far from home where I could hardly drive home after work and make it safely. To be honest I almost crashed my car a few times while falling asleep on the wheel, and even got pulled over by cops a few times for swerving along the roads or speeding to make it home before I crashed. Luckily, I never crashed my car and I never hit anyone else while falling asleep on the wheel but got very close to it.

Question: Do you think my bosses would care if I died after crashing my car after working long hours on the job?

Answer: Heck No! I do not think they would even notice unless it makes headlines on the news. They would simply say, “sorry for your loss he was a great worker and here is his last paycheck.” To my family members.

Follow up Question: Will your old or new boss care if they lose you? Yes/No?

Answer: Maybe they will for a little while, but eventually they will move on. Because it is still business, like the saying goes in show business, “The show must go on.” And in most companies, they will go on with or without you because they can always replace you unless you have special skills or become an asset to their business where they can continue to keep you as long as you keep money in their pockets.

I know I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and mind and I have been in multiple network marketing businesses, but have not succeeded in any of them, at least not yet. So, during this time we can either choose to hate our own governments around the world for forcing us to stay home, or we can choose to learn new skills and new ways to make money online and start or create our own business and use this opportunity to take life into our own hands and make money work for us instead of us working for money.

As for my next media I posted is a post of a Sunset/Sunrise because I live on O’ahu, Hawaii born and raised in Waianae Oahu on the West Side of the Island. Living in Hawaii, can be a paradise for most of us, or it can be painful because everything in Hawaii cost a lot more money, Housing, rent, food, travel, car, gas, phone just to name a few. But being out in nature from the mountain to the sea, it can do all things to the human body, mind and spirit. I used to live at the beach last year 2019 and a few times years before. It is not that difficult to be homeless living on the beach and if you have a job and less expenses then it can be paradise. Obviously, at that time I was not working much, and it was tough at times. I got some help from some family, friends, ex gfs and programs. No matter how much help I got for a short period of time, I always ended up back at the beach because that is where I feel most at home and that is where I lived for months at time. This picture of the beach reminds me of simpler times during my childhood a time filled with happiness, laughter, family and sorrow. It always brings me back to those simpler times where life was easy because I was just a child, but not realizing that it was a difficult time for others around me in my family and friends lives as well. Many of my family members no longer talk to us, we went from being a close connected family to a broke apart family due to choices others have made over the years. Still we will continue to keep moving forward in our own lives and make a difference for those around us, as long as we are grateful for one another we will overcome any and all obstacles that come our way no matter what.

Lastly, I chose Prince Ea Instagram as the social media for this challenge because watching his videos inspires me to be a better man, brother, student, learner and son. Throughout his different videos he expresses insight on current situations in life, love, happiness, success, failure, poor, rich and he is truly an inspirational poet, speaker, and person. Watching his videos gives me hope, peace, love in my heart, and joy in my soul. He speaks truth and it speaks volume upon my life. I am doing all that I Can do with what I have and what I do not have and that is what we need to figure out how to do.

To use our skills and knowledge in anything that we know how to do well and use that to drive us to create more content and to build up our own network of followers to make an impact on other peoples lives. We all have skills and knowledge that the world may want to know and hear about, but if we are all stuck at home why not use this time to shine. Take those skills, ideas and knowledge and turn it into a business and plan it out how to do it and get funding or advertise online on different platforms. You can pretty much google a lot of ways how to start and things like that. But just get started write down your business plan on paper or your files on computer or in your phone, make short term, long term goals that you want to accomplish and check them all off one at a time as you do.

Create a timeline on how long you want to give yourself to achieve those goals in life. Talk about your ideas to others in your household or on social media directly or even reach out to business owners or entrepreneurs that are all doing what you want to do, and learn from them and make it your own. If you don’t have an income right now then create it, make it happen join a business or two for low price and fail forward, in order to succeed you will need to fail often, so fail often as you can and one day you will make it and you will succeed the key to success is to start and to never give up after you start. So, start today, teach a skill online, write a book, write a blog, there are ways online to make money and to create passive income.

Whatever your good at or skilled at turn it into a business and you will be glad that you had a chance to think about what you want to do with your life now that we’re all stuck at home being unproductive. Learn new skills how to cook, how to clean faster, how to do anything learn everything and anything that you want from those who have done it and create something better than them or create something entirely different so that you stand out in your business and in your own life. Just start and you will be glad you did.

Good luck everyone and be safe out there and remember the only way you will succeed in anything in life is to get started and never ever give up and help others in your life to take action as well and even partner with one another to achieve your goals faster. Take care and see you all on the top.
