The Worldly Life: A Temporary Enjoyment

Worldly Life
  • Have you ever wondered about the true purpose of life? Many people spend their whole lives chasing money, fame, and success. But Allah reminds us in the Qur’an that this world is only a temporary place, and the real life is in the Hereafter.

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says:
"And this worldly life is nothing but play and amusement. But the Hereafter is the real life, if only they knew!"
(Surah Al-'Ankabut 29:64)

This verse teaches us a deep lesson about the nature of this world and the importance of preparing for the next life.

1. This World is Temporary

➡️ Life in this world feels important, but it is like a short dream. When we wake up, everything disappears. Similarly, one day we will leave this world, and only our good deeds will remain with us.

➡️Many people focus on collecting wealth, buying expensive things, and becoming famous. But these things do not last forever. A rich person and a poor person both leave this world empty-handed.

➡️ The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
"Be in this world as if you were a traveler or a stranger." (Bukhari, 6416)

This means we should not get too attached to this world, because our real home is in the Hereafter.

2. The Hereafter is the True Life

➡️ Allah tells us that the life after death is the real and eternal life. Unlike this world, it will never end.

➡️ In this world, we face pain, sadness, and struggles. But in Jannah (Paradise), there will be no suffering, no death, and no worries. Allah promises an everlasting life of peace and happiness for those who do good deeds.

Allah says:
"Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great success!" (Surah Al-Buruj 85:11)

3.A Quranic Perspective

The qur’an consistently reminds us that the pleasures of this world are limited:

World as an Amusement:
The verse from Surah Al-'Ankabut tells us that life here is like a game or a fleeting moment of enjoyment.

Allah says:
"Know that the life of this world is only play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting among you, and rivalry in wealth and children..." (Surah Al-Hadid 57:20)

This verse beautifully describes how people get caught up in worldly distractions. But these distractions do not benefit us in the long run. A wise person is one who understands that this life is only a preparation for the eternal Hereafter.

What Truly Matters?

It is natural to seek a good life in this world. However, the real question is: Are we using our time and resources wisely? Are we earning Allah’s pleasure, or are we only chasing temporary desires?

🌟🌟🌟So,real success is not having a big house, a luxury car, or millions of followers. Real success is earning Jannah.

The comforts we enjoy today—money, luxury, and even social recognition—are temporary. Time passes quickly, and these things fade away.

This world is just a bridge to the next life. The wise person is the one who prepares for the Hereafter instead of wasting time on temporary pleasures.

⭐Are you focusing too much on this world or preparing for the next? Let’s reflect and make better choices, Insha’Allah!

Life is short, and no one knows when their time will end. A person may be healthy today but gone tomorrow. That’s why we should prepare while we have time.

A Test of Faith:
Every pleasure and hardship in this world serves as a test of our faith and character. By understanding the temporary nature of worldly joys, we are encouraged to develop patience, gratitude, and a stronger connection with Allah.

Making Wise Choices:
When we remind ourselves that the world is just a temporary amusement, it becomes easier to make decisions that benefit us in the long run, preparing our hearts and actions for eternal success.

🌟🌟🌟Money and status do not make us great; only good deeds do.
