This is a story of an man in the woods. The name of this man is William. Will was a lonesome man. He was not alone because of some wretched thing, but because he chose to be. He was not completely alone tho. He had his loyal companion, Leon, his faithful watch dog.

One day William encountered a man wandering through the deep of the wood. Or so he thought he was a man. When Will fist saw the man he thought to himself "Who would be such a fool to come this deep in the woods?" Indeed he was correct. Only a fool would travel this deep into the woods.

When the man got a glimpse of Will and Leon he approached them. Will was soon brought face to face with the man, the mans face was not visible. To be polite he invited the man to have some bread with him. The man said he was grateful for his hospitality and agreed.

As they sat, the man started a conversation talking about his travels and adventures. Will told the man "I wish that I was as brave as you. I am to scared of the world to even leave these woods. I am happy, but very much alone." The man asked Will what he was so afraid of.

Will responded with " I really don't know. I suppose I am just afraid of the responsibilities and humiliation that living with others comes with. I truly am quite happy out here by myself." The man questioned Will if he was truly happy or just trying to convince himself that he was, so that he wouldn't have to deal with the world.

All of a sudden the man faded into thin air and everything around Will was swallowed into darkness. As the darkness was turned into light Will could feel the softness of a blanket and comfort of the bed. When light returned he realized that all had been a dream. When Will arose from the bed he thought to himself, "I wonder what the man's name was and why I never saw his face." As he thought he went outside to find Leon sprawled out in the grass. That is when he realized he was not happy hiding from the world.

The End

Moral:

Now I have a question for you. Is this a story about somebody else finding their way; or is it also trying to help us realize something? I think that if everyone try hard enough, that everyone can relate to the man in some sort of way. Some of people's ways might be a little different than others and that is fine.

Personally for me the message that I am trying to get across with this story is that we all like to live in our own little paradises to try to escape from our current reality. This can happen in forms of daydreaming, sleeping the day away, or even just trapping ourselves in our own little space. Now a little bit of this is fine and even healthy, but some people like it a little to much and can fall into a state of depression. If you can relate to this I urge you very greatly to seek professional help. I know what it is like to be wanting to live in your our world were can escape maybe even just for a few moments. I am sorry but there is no way to escape unless death which is a permanent solution to a current problem. One things you can do is focus on yourself for a while and help yourself become the person you dream about.

This is all that I have to say, thank you for reading and I hope that you have learned something.
