The Greatest Lesson The Universe Ever Taught Me

Divine timing was always a hard concept for me to understand. I, unfortunately, lack an important quality needed to co-create with the universe which is patience. You hear the saying “patience is a virtue” all the time but no one ever talks about how hard it can be to actually be patient. Yes, in the end it’ll be worth it, but what about in the moment?

The manifestation process comes pretty naturally to me because I’m good at directing my energy into what I want to attract. However, waiting for the fruits of my labor to show up is always a pain for me.

I was raised in a family with unrealistic expectations of their child so you can imagine what it was like for me to work hard, yet never feel accomplished. The hard work never stopped though. In fact, I began to work even harder as I got older because it became part of who I was. I always put my all into everything I work on even if it means putting my mental health at risk.

The reason I was such an overachiever was because I felt like the more effort I put in, the faster and greater my rewards would be, which is usually the case — not for me though.

No matter how much I did I never got the recognition I felt like I deserved.

I absolutely hated award ceremonies in school because I knew they wouldn’t do my hard work justice. The older I got, the less I cared about whether people saw my success or not because I knew what I truly deserved and that’s really all that matters. That doesn’t mean I was satisfied with my results though.

I would see everyone get praised for putting in half the amount of effort I put in and obviously this made me feel a bit bitter. I would always ask myself, “When will it be my turn?” And to this day, I still don’t know the answer to that.

Even before I began my spiritual journey, I strongly believed that everything happened for a reason and that divine timing is always at play. Despite knowing that the universe plans almost everything out, I still had tons of breakdowns crying about why I’m never able to achieve the things that I want. I’ve always been at war with divine timing and often felt like the universe forgot about me.

Today, I work with divine timing instead of against it.

When I manifest I completely detach from any expectations. I know what I want, and I know that I will get exactly what I want or something even better which means there’s no reason for me to stress over anything. There’s no rush either. I’m the type of person that wants what I want when I want it which is why it felt like the universe was working against me.

What I Learned

Divine timing means you get what you manifest when it’s time for you to receive it — not when it’s the most convenient for you.

Money won’t come if you have a lack mindset and feel like you’re broke and can never get back on your feet. It comes when you feel comfortable and secure in what you already have.

Success and recognition don’t come when you want it, it comes when you least expect it.

Love doesn’t come when you’re lonely and desperate, it comes when you learn to love yourself completely.

The speed that your manifestation comes to you depends on your mindset. If you want to speed up your results then you have to diligently work toward them and be in alignment with them. If you’re stuck in a negative mindset while trying to create a new life for yourself, all you’re going to do is create more stagnant energy around you.

Release the past, release your negative mindset or liming beliefs and be confident in who you are in order to make your manifestations fly towards you.

Of course, there are certain things that have a set time of entering your life regardless of what you do. However, you can sometimes change this by changing your current circumstances.

For example, let's say you really want to attract your soulmate into your life but you know you’re not ready for them. By progressing in life and creating a stable foundation for yourself you’re also speeding up the timeline of events that follow.

If the universe wants you to be financially stable before you meet your other half, then depending on how fast you cultivate abundance, your lover might enter your life sooner than expected.

I’ve been taught this lesson time and time again and it’s still something that I struggle with, but I’m definitely making progress. Instead of begging and pleading with the universe to hurry up and give me what I want, I sit back and let them work their magic in the 5D while I physically put in the work on the earthly realm.

I no longer overwork myself either because I know that what’s meant for me will never miss me and as long as I’m progressing, that’s all that matters.

How fast you complete your work or the quantity of the work you do doesn’t determine anything. What matters is that you’re continuously leveling up and moving forward in life. The universe wants to see you ascending higher and reaching your full potential.

They don’t want to see you burnt out and begging for a break. If anything that’ll make your manifestations take even longer to get to you because the universe will purposely put them on hold so that you can take a break! Work smarter not harder, people.

If you’re like me and lack patience, hopefully this helped you realize that the universe didn’t forget about you and you can still acquire everything you want and more! You just have to sit back and relax while watching everything flow into your life.
