success
The road to success is always under construction; share your equations for success — and learn some new ones.
write what you know
Writing 101 Write what you know That is something I hear often so I’ll start with that. Even if this is a public platform and I’m writing so other people can read it I’d rather keep my identity a secret, even if it's for the time being. I was born and raised in Ethiopia, a country located in the horn of Africa. As such English is my second language.

Welcome to the Real World
It was 1 am, and I had just experienced my first professional rejection. I was in the middle of watching Best Scenes from Game of Thrones when I got the notification on my phone. I paused the video in haste and opened the email. As I read the lines of a literary agent’s secretary ‘unfortunately, she is unable to offer you representation at this time,’ I felt my stomach sink and my chest tighten. I felt dejected and disappointed; disheartened. I thought, how am I going to sleep after this?

Glory Birds
Once a king received two magnificent peregrine falcons as a gift from one of his vassal state. They were the most beautiful birds he has ever seen. Though the Falcons were still quite young at the time, they were beautiful specimens groomed for keeping in his court specifically. The king called the head falconer and handed the two beautiful birds to be trained. The falconer trained the birds for months. But one day the falconer informed the king that one of the falcons was flying and soaring high in the sky while the other has not moved from its branch since the day it had arrived.

Afraid of Success?
Many hesitate in making dreams come true as the fear of actually being a success is real for them. Is it real for you too? You might not realise it just yet, but this could be the number one reason why you have not stepped out of your comfort zone and taken that leap of faith.

The Road to Adulthood
Awake to a place of my own. The idea of adulthood rushes to my head. Living in your own space, not being tied down by a group or a tether like family. Being an adult comes with its own struggles but having the responsibility of your own & the power of individuality allows for self-growth and a form of existence in this world.

The 3 Jerks I Want To Thank For Making Me, Me
Perhaps a brief introduction is necessary. My name is Syazwan, and I'm a Business undergraduate. You're probably wondering now, am I really going to thank some jerks in my life? YES! It is exactly them being jerks to me that spurred me to be who I am today and maybe you, the reader, can get some personal introspection afterwards.

36 YEARS IN..
It is hard to believe it. I don’t know how to process it. Thirty six years ago, this journey, my journey of life began. The question most get asked on their birthday is quite frankly annoying, which makes me so happy, you haven’t asked me; because as I mentioned earlier, I don’t know how I am feeling? I don’t know how to deal with the reality that in four short years, I will celebrate four decades on this earth.
