Guided Journaling
We've all heard about the benefits of journaling, but all too often we flip open a blank book and stare at it not knowing what to say. Sometimes writing about our day doesn't feel right, or we don't know what thoughts to articulate. A guided journal helps you to gain clarity and focus.

How to Love Yourself Again
At some point in life we all experience a sense of confusion as to who we are or what our life even means. It is easy to get lost in our careers, studies, family life, etc. It is important to still find time for yourself. Schools should really stress the importance of self-care. As we get older sometimes our priorities get out of order. It is important to evaluate your life every so often, so that you can make sure you are happy and peaceful. Everything (growth-wise) stems from our inner happiness/mental state. So if we are not taking care of ourselves, most likely our work and everything else will be messy too.

Not in a Million Years
If you’d have told me when I was struggling to raise two kids through an on again off again marriage and a limited career path because my education stopped with my high school diploma that the hardest part of my life would be after those years were behind me, I’d have said you were crazy. Yet here I am. I worked hard and advanced in a tough industry and raised my kids and supported them myself until they were grown. I was proud of myself and had worked my way into a great job making great money and benefits and thought I was set for life... It didn’t happen that way (which is another story) and here I am...

EduKating for Consciousness
I found myself staring at bottle brand, Philosophy. It is just a product for skin I use every so often. What drew me to write was the message that they put on it. I stared at it and immediately thought, we are living in the era of mass consumption: let it be goods, information, social media and institutional expression. This is no means an offense to those devout to their faith and the practice but nowadays, we’ve seen the extremist side of faith and the practice of.

How to Tell if You're Truly a Strong Person
There's a good way to quickly determine whether you're really strong. Emotionally, mentally strong, as a person. It depends on how much you're willing and able to face, or withstand life coming at you, *without* knowing exactly what's coming in advance.

You're Absolutely Perfect
Anyone ever heard of the Saturn Return? It's this idea that Saturn comes back to the exact same position as when you were born every twenty-something years, and well—s**t hits the fan. I'm not a huge astrology person (maybe I just don't know enough about it) but let me tell you—some strange shift happens in your late twenties/early thirties and it often times feels like life just becomes one humongous uphill battle. Saturn or not, I think late twenties mark the ultimate entrance into adulthood, and life throws a million little (or big) tests at you to make sure you're ready—maybe it wants check that you can cook a meal without setting your apartment on fire, or that you can do your own taxes, or that you take care of your body and sign up for the gym, or maybe—call me crazy—that you are able to f**k your fears and enter the new decade screaming "I deserve the best and I f***ing love myself"?

How I Overcame Depression, Anxiety, and Religion by Tapping into My Spirituality
I'm often asked how did I come to be who I am today. There's really no simple answer to that question however the only thing I can think of is that I hit rock bottom and I had no choice but to pull myself up. There was a day when I was sitting feeling sorry for myself because of my health issues that had me confined to a wheelchair. I continuously pray and pray and pray that everything in my life would become better and it never happened. This particular day I now know that I was able to overcome all of my obstacles by finally believing in myself. Sometimes we work so hard to believe in something else that we want to change our lives that we forget that the primary reason for our existence is believing in ourselves. If you don't believe in yourself, how can you tell anyone else anything? How can you get someone else to believe in you if you don't believe in yourself? You are not a reliable source of anything if you do not believe in yourself. Okay, so long story short, I overcame anxiety depression emotional abuse sometimes physical abuse financial abuse psychological abuse so many forms of abuse all by deciding to believe in myself. I was a wife a mother, a sister, a daughter, I am an employee, a friend, I was so many things to so many different people but I wasn't any service to myself. I spent so much time making sure that I was everything that everyone else wanted me to be that I completely forgot about myself.

How to Stay Positive After a Life-Changing Injury
For many, life is not easy. The majority of the time we can make it over most hurdles and shrug off minor bumps and bruises, but sometimes things happen to us that we can’t just shake. This can especially resonate with someone who has experienced a devastating injury that completely changed their life as they knew it.

We Need to Embrace Self-Compassion, Instead of Chasing Self-Esteem
Googling self-love reveals that it has "often been seen as a moral flaw, akin to vanity and selfishness." This baffles me because regard for oneself and one's own happiness and wellbeing is far from a flaw in my eyes.
