Surviving &Thriving Harshness
Be honest this title is really a moment of questions for me as I deal with people in my life. Some judgement may come to me from this story as there have been already with my experience dealing with harshness and mistreatment in my relationships. I have been talked to by those I love in a harsh way and when I attempt to let them know of my concerns of their tone and treatment, I was told I was being sensitive, bitter and even negative. To give you brief summary of the treatment from the loved ones in my next paragraphs. I really understand that the whole purpose for myself and many not owning up to our responsibility to being harsh is not the source of good but evil.

Everything Happens For A Reason
Times of challenge, hardship, adversity, pain, sorrow, and failure, are never pleasant, I think that's stating the obvious. Many of these such times are brought about because we settle in life, we become comfortable, and we become stale, rather than be continually pushing ourselves to grow. It's like the universe goes about giving us a shove, insisting that we get off our butt, be changing things up, and be working on growing ourselves. That shove normally comes in the way of making life very uncomfortable for us, often in the way of adversity, hardship, and the like. The discomfort continues to worsen, until we finally hit breaking point, and we make some tough decisions and changes, just to ease the pressure. Other times, we are hit with these unpleasantries without warning, or perhaps we knew the potential of it happening, but we weren't prepared that it would actually happen. Such events, situations, and circumstances, destroy us emotionally. It could be the death of a loved one, a marital split or relationship breakdown, a financial disaster, the sudden dismissal from our job, a diagnosed health issue, our house burning down from a fire, a severe car accident, you name it. Life has a habit of delivering us trials and tribulations, and none of us are exempt. When these times arrive, many of us become angry, frustrated, and even confused, as to why such events and situations have been thrown upon us. It's not uncommon that when one thing goes wrong, other aspects of life have a habit of falling apart around us also, making it all the more grueling for us. Many of us question how life can be so cruel, why these events and circumstances are happening to us, and we even lay blame on higher beings.

The Human Race
People suck. Very cynical opening, I know. But it’s true, 90% of the time, they will hurt you. They will disappoint you, leave you broken; in the heart, in the brain, and sometimes, even in the soul. Now don’t get me wrong, this article is based purely off of my personal experiences, and so I urge you - whoever is reading this - to not take this seriously, at all.

The soss of self
The song of the hour is intentionality and intimacy, though to be honest we find it hard. Either we withdraw and refuse to touch it with a ten foot pole, or we go full blast thinking intensity necessarily means honesty. Lately I’ve been going through a lot of stuff. I’ve been dealing with personal and emotional dissociation and it’s been driving me mad. It’s like I “just can’t even,” but the thing I’m attempting to even is just existing, being myself, or engaging with people around me. Who knew that wearing masks your whole life and trying to take care of everyone else’s emotions was so exhausting? Who knew it wasn’t easy to keep up appearances and smile? Yeah, cause that’s the thing: I said earlier it was hard to be myself, but in actuality it’s gotten difficult to be the version of myself that people (myself included) are used to seeing. I’ve been working a job that’s taken so much out of me I get to the end of the day and want to sit alone in a basement playing Skyrim. Or watching tv, or whatever. That would be okay, except that there are other people in my life, and, you know, sitting alone playing Skyrim isn’t actually what I want. Obviously (if you haven’t guessed) I love writing. I want to make a career out writing. Unfortunately that takes time and effort, and some days I don’t think I have it in me and that’s just one larger goal. So I vegetate on the couch, playing and replaying Skyrim, and feeling less and less and less in control, and more and more like my life isn’t where I want to be.

Can You Actually Forgive Your Enemies?
Can you actually forgive your enemies? The question is simple: is it even possible for you to forgive your enemies? How about love them? Sometimes people do terrible things to us, things that we have a very hard time letting go. Sometimes, we feel like we just can’t forgive them for what they’ve done to us, or our friends, or family. How could it ever be possible to forgive and love these people?

The Rollercoaster of Life
Up and down the rollercoaster goes. The fun continues until the stomach starts to set in. Had something before to keep me on top but slight triggers took hold tonight. Settling in to something comfortable and enjoy the ride through. Now with the trigger you can’t help but fall under. Like the scent of a cigarette that passes by, a moment takes over your being and you fall into the darkness of despair.

Possitive affirmations
The art of the spoken word is critical in crafting our futures. As a teacher of spirituality, it is my firm belief that we influence the universe word by word. If we dictate to it our wishes, it will respond. When we utter a sound, we emit a sound wave into the universe. This sound wave pierces through the air and becomes a real object. It therefore exists in our world, intangible and invisible. No words are empty words, as every syllable we speak engages energy towards or against us. If you constantly say "I can't," the energy of your words will repel the universal force against you. But if you say "I can!" the universe will endow you with the abilities to do just that. So speak away; relinquish your fears and purge your anger, predict your own future and live up to your potential with the 35 affirmations that will change your life:
