The Little Things
This feeling deep inside that I cannot hide. I try so hard to change what it means in order to make things ok but it doesn’t do it’s job. I’ve spent too long searching for peace only to question my feelings. I walk along this path alone without the answer that I seek. A simple yes or no doesn’t validate what’s at stake.

Dose Of Daily Inspiration
I write to inspire and bring hope to humanity and the world. It’s an effort to let you know that in this big ole world, the breath you just took is because right now, in this very moment you are meant to be here. You have a purpose. You have a mission. You matter!!

Be Present.
Anidst the COVID crisis, the most I’ve missed is touch. Simple touch. A hug, a kiss on the cheek, a handshake. I spoke to a friend of mine last week and she said, if you have some time on Friday, you can come over to see the baby. This beautiful, brand spanking new six-week old, baby boy. I hesitated, out of fear, but I realized, I’m no danger to him, or her. I’ve been safe and at home, and I need to go.

Removing Negative Blockers Through Mind Movies
When I first heard about Mind Movies, it was a new thing. The co-founder, Natalie, was charismatic and charming. I was intrigued but skeptical because I didn't see the world through rose-colored glasses if I am honest. She made some bold claims that I wasn't bought in on, but it was affordable, so I went for it.

Take Depression Out of 2020
Political rivalry, COVID-19, and lock downs across the United States and around the world have captivated the headlines. Protests have transitioned into violent riots, leaving major cities devastated with destruction and many lives lost. The rights of police officers everywhere are under direct question and many cities are threatening to defund the men and women in Black and blue. The media neglects to share how every day citizens are feeling under the tactics of released fear and the lack of respect shown to law and order in this country. Many individuals have not been able to return to work or their businesses. Depression is plaguing many people of all ages throughout the world, and why shouldn't it be? Only someone who suffers from depression knows how another person with it feels. You need to know that you are not alone out there.

Summer lovin'
Summer 2020 is going to be unlike any summer we have every experienced, but I am here to make the most of it! Originally, I planned to use this summer to travel a ton, however now I will be staying put and exploring my home, re-discovering my local community, and soaking in the sun.

The Search for Happiness
The Search for Happiness By Dejaye Botkin, LPC During my initial assessment with a client, I always ask, “What are your three goals for therapy?” The most common answer I hear is, “I want to be happy.” My young clients in particular often state that happiness is their single most important therapy goal and frequently express desperation for this goal to be achieved. I often hear clients express their desire to achieve happiness in this sequence: “I am either happy or sad. I know I am not happy, so I must be sad. Since I feel sad almost every day, I must be depressed, which makes me want to end the pain.”

Summer Above the Circumstances
"Alright gents. Same time tomorrow?" Such has become the nightly adieu amongst my roommates and I - our instrument to make light of the everyday loop we find ourselves living. Does anyone find it concerning, even with all the changes over the past few months, how swiftly discipline fades to lukewarm repetition, novelty to routine?
