Discovering my love for writing fantasy
My day-to-day routine of waking up, going to the gym, and then to work is an exhausting merry-go-round of frustration and fried nerves. In the beginning, and even months into this seemingly endless routine, I thought there was no real way to destress. I would go on walks, draw, listen to music, take warm baths with candles lit all around me – but nothing seemed to work.

Dance: My Way To Escape
My hair swooshes around me as I turn. The spotlight coats me like the sun as I complete the moves I've practiced hundreds of times. I gaze out into the darkness, hoping I can show the audience the joy that this brings me. I turn, jump, glide. Every new move feeling like a breath of fresh air.

Writing is my passion
My love for words is indescribable; my passion for art has no limit. I love writing with all of my being. Writing gives me so much hope and love; being able to talk to your viewers through a book or a song is amazing. You are able to connect with people on a completely different level when they’re reading things through your point of view. People kind of start to understand you just a little bit more. They gain a little bit of compassion each time they resonate with what you’ve said. I’m in love with the idea of everyone understanding and sympathizing with each other. The world is cruel enough, but all it takes is one kind word to make the world a better place. I truly believe kindness goes a long way. People who are mean are usually miserable inside, but if you take the time to say something wonderful to that person who knows what would happen. You could really change someone's perspective on life. This is why I choose to write my truth and my feelings. I choose to reach people with my words because I want people to know and understand that love is real. Love exists in every single one of us and we all deserve it. I want to spread love all throughout my creations, I want people to smile when they read my books and stories. I want people to catch chills with something that speaks to their heart.

Needle to Nature
Everyday I literally thread the needle. With blue, or green or brown, or yellow or coral thread. Everyday I thread the needle to recreate scenes of nature, based usually on places I have been or would love to go. They are not quite needlepoint or embroidery, but they are needlework. When I talk about them, I say I am painting with threads. But that isn't quite right either, as even I picture dipping my thread in paint and pulling it across paper. And that is definitely not what these are... maybe thread landscapes?

Bewitching Stitching
Inhale, exhale. In, out. Up, down. Over, under. The rhythm of cross-stitch has always been hypnotic to me once I settle into the task. From gathering supplies to admiring my finished project, almost every step is soothing and pleasant.

Rusted Metal
“Bang!” The wrench clatters against the walls then clangs a couple times with a ricochet and then slides along the shop floor. A string of frustrated language that I would be ashamed to say in public spews from my lips. I have been working on this 1960 model pickup for two years and it is still in pieces and unpainted. Two engines are in the corner of the shop room waiting to be chosen to honor the build with their presence. Two gallons of paint sit on the shelf ready to recolor the old, and new, metal of the pickup truck. I walk across the shop and retrieve my wrench then settle into the old office chair I saved from a dumpster and reconditioned. Leaned back in this avocado green chair I put my feet up on an old stool I built from salvaged lumber. The “shop” is an old chicken barn that has been retrofitted to be an auto shop. Everything from my home to my clothes to my vehicle is repurposed and second hand, as much as possible.

Where Disappointments Lead
Destiny was stagnant, she thought to herself on her way home from work. She waved to all the same people everyday, took the same route to work on the same old bike. She had been pushing to be moved to full time at work for weeks now, but was getting nowhere. She couldn't afford a car, a house, or even a nice evening out, she was stuck.

Purchase Now!
Minnie walked through life collecting moments and insignia and affirmations and energy from the universe, an understanding - unknowingly. Minnie walked through life without knowing that’s what she was collecting. She was collecting the future, past, present, the maiden, mother, crone.
