To Plant a Garden
Shortly before she returned to London (and before a pandemic consumed the world) my good friend, Sophie, left behind a small trove of parting gifts, including a variety of seeds for me to plant. I was touched by this gift and knew its value, so I set the small baggie in my pantry for another day. Living in the middle of the city, I felt I wasn’t prepared to start a miniature garden in my shared apartment, though I do acknowledge it is perfectly possible.

Picture The Perfect Life
Have you ever imagined where you would be in ten years? Same. I am 23 years old who graduated college almost a year ago, however, my life is not at all close to where I saw myself being at 23 years old. My 13 year old self, thought that I would be living on my own, have a full-time job, in a happy relationship, and just having the time of my life. Oh, was I wrong. I am currently living with my parents, I have a part-time job, and I have no idea what I should be doing and where I should be going. It does not make it easier that majority of my friends or people in the media who are around the same age, already have their lives figured out and what they want to do. I am in a constant battle with myself of how I should have done this, or I should be doing that and maybe everything would be different and I would at least have some form of comfort that my life is put together. Life has a really funny way of working and I am not quite sure if I could keep up. As the days went by, I would constantly think what I should be doing and how I can do things differently, but I realized, I was doing everything all wrong.

Assumption
Feet curling, nails digging, teeth bared, tight skin, wide eyes and dishevelled hair. Clammy palms and dry knuckles used to wipe every ounce of blood, sweat and tears, that appear to pour out every minute. Muscles tense with every movement, causing pain to shoot through me, resulting in a spasm like that of a fish being electrocuted. I gaze up to face my abuser of my suffering, knowing they're very well thinking, "Your time is up, say goodbye". Yet though, as I receive another wound, I reach the peak, and shout finally..

Unleash the Power of Now
One of the worst things that you could ever do to yourself is to constantly say “not yet.” You may be thinking, “Well, we live in a time where instant delivery Amazon packages as well fifteen-minute pizza deliveries are the reality. How can you tell me with a straight face that I’m always telling myself not yet?”

This is the Only Person Who can Truly Sabotage You and Are You Aware of Your Hidden Enemy?
What if I told you that there's a person out there who willfully wants to slow you down and even downright sabotage you? What if I told you that this person may get all excited about your plans to change your life and turn things around for the better? What if I told you that this person initially encourages you and even is your biggest cheerleader at first?

Breaking News
I admit it. I’ve been watching too much CNN recently. I’m spending unhealthy amounts of my time tuned in to Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper, and Don Lemon; hanging on Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s every word, and feeling deep concern for reporters fallen ill with Covid-19. (Get well soon, Chris Cuomo and Brooke Baldwin. We miss you!) Honestly? It’s round-the-clock news consumption, gorging myself on terrifying statistics and numbers that grow exponentially by the hour. In fairness, it feels like no one wants to miss a single update on the unfolding coronavirus pandemic. It’s become our national pastime.

What if I Told You that You Can Edit Your Reality? and Why Do Most People Refuse to Take Ownership of Their Power Over Their Lives?
It's very easy to look at reality as something that is just handed to us. If our parents were abusive, alcoholics, or addicts, it's very easy and natural for people to think that's just the world that they were born in. They're just unlucky. That's just the way things are. Life is a giant a lottery and guess what? They ended up being handed the losing ticket. Talk about a very weak and a self-defeating mindset.

And I'm Back In The Game!
Well it has been quite some time since I've sat down and wrote an article! Years ago, I used to write for a fan contribution site called MoviePilot (later renamed Creators). Over the course of three years, dozens of articles, interviews with celebrities, and covering a handful of special events as a member of the press, writing became something I love to do in my free time. Since the company went under, it continued to be something I've explored from time to time with spec scripts for current shows and attempts at writing my own television and movie scripts. Sadly, over the years, writing was put on the back burner behind training martial arts, cosplaying, and going to conventions. Every now and then I'd get that spark of "Hm... that's a fun concept for a show/movie/short" but would rarely act on it. But with "normal life" taking a hiatus for an undetermined amount of time because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I figured this is a great time to get back to it.

5 Simple Ways to Motivate Yourself
Motivation is key if you feel like you are dealing with everyday life as if it’s “deja vu”. Working from home can get boring especially if you don't have that much human interaction. You need to make sure that the moment you feel like your current situation is starting to make you feel down, you have to do something about it.
