Working From Home
Do you ever get sick of people saying go get a real job implying that working from home isn't good enough? That it's less than a work environment that outside your comfort zone. The fact is most people still think working from home is somehow bad or lazy. You know what that is just a big load of nonsense.

VISUALIZING MYSELF IN TEN YEARS
Okay, let me start by saying in ten years from now, in the year 2030, I will be … wait for it… forty-seven(47). My goodness, let that sink in for a moment… This is proving to be a really difficult thought for me to put down on a page, let alone on a blog for the world to see… despite this; I did start writing this blog with the mindset that I have to put myself in this situation and as I already mentioned; to visualize where myself in ten years. So, with that out of the way, I will continue.

What's Next?
What's Next? By now it's no secret that I fell short of my goal. I wasn't able to complete a 10K row every hour on the hour for 33 hours. And, to be completely honest, that pisses me off. I'm pissed off that I let myself and others down. I'm pissed off that I gave in and lost. I found myself in the fight of my life taking blow after blow until eventually I laid down and surrendered.

The Illusion Of Failure
"Well I guess I should just give up now," is the message we tell ourselves when we think we've failed. We seem to believe that if something doesn't go according to plan, or when we make a mistake. We believe we are failures and should just stop trying. The illusion that you have failed is due to a fear of upsetting others and or just not being the person you promised yourself to be. We all have big dreams and a set of goals that we want to accomplish. This doesn't mean all of those dreams and goals are going to be fulfilled.

How I Became The Fastest Typist On The Planet, But Never Knew It
Here is a strange but true story from my old high school days. I had taken a typing class in middle school, so I was already quite proficient at typing. If I remember correctly, I was able to reach speeds of 50 or 60 words per minute with less than three errors. Not bad for a seventh grader. Well, when I found myself in 10th grade, I had moved to a new state and a new school, so my typing class I had already completed did not count toward my diploma. I was not really looking forward to taking the same class again, but knew that I had no choice. Therefore, faced with this dilemma, I went and tried to attack it head on. With my previous experience, no one in my class had a chance of keeping up with me. My teacher was a very proud woman. To see her face contort when I finished all of the starter assignments, learning how to type the home row and so forth in less than a minute, it really fueled my ego. I thought, for a time that I was tops in her class. She had made it a point to tell that that she had never seen anyone take the keyboard so quickly, even with my middle school credit.

The Pillars of Up Before You
Up Before You is a community of people who Get After It. We fall and we get back up again. We get backed into a corner and, when the rest of the world thinks we're finished, we find a way out. When it seems like we're finished and that we're at the end of the line we put our head down, grab our shovel, and we keep digging. There is no quit. Failure is not an option. There is always a way out. No matter how stacked the odds are against us, we press on. The only way we can possibly lose is if we give up on the mission entirely.

Small World
There was once a young kid, in a small world filled with poverty, a world where nobody could imagine living in, it's a world that shaped me to become the man I am today. The young had no idol and the mother was forced to handle both roles, for the father was blind to see what was going on. I remember times when my stomach itself will growl like the king of the jungle himself, who roared to send fear toward anyone who despised him. The mornings were cold but not the cold of winter but a cold that reminded us of survival. With my clothes filled with holes, I was always seen as poor child and that's because I was. Both of my parents never seeked any higher education and sometimes they've blamed me for their current situations, but as time went by I noticed sometimes they were just angry. My mom especially loved telling me what it meant to live a prospered life, a life that she desires for herself in the future. I would stare into her beautiful black skin that she always takes pride in, and realize the hardwork that she had underwent in order to make sure I survive. Even chores and errands that I had was nothing compared to hers. With my age being only 6, I was powerless and yet I would push myself. To make sure to become the son that'll be able to heal her rusty hands. Rusty hands that truly were hands of mother. This was a hardwork of a mother that cherished her child and to help me prosper because they couldn't. With the thought of that, it made me angry, frustrated, and powerless because my mother, who I dearly love, was in so much pain because of me. I wouldn't get past the reason behind that because my mind was clouded. This world is shaped different, depending on each individual. It can be seen in many different forms, living in a poor village, gave me a gift. Not just any gift, but a gift that we all have. It's a gift to grow and develop. I was never mature enough to understand my mothers hardwork back in Kenya, but without her handwork I wouldn't be sitting here alive writing this to be heard. My story hasn't been fully written, one thing is that all of our stories aren't complete, we're all in this story together and slowly paving a page after page for the life we sought. Before my story folds away, my mother herself will definitely be healed from the pain.

Your Time Will Come!
In a world that is so fast paced, and one in which time is so precious and valuable, it can be extremely hard to exercise patience. These days, many of us can't even go to a grocery store, and not get agitated and frustrated when we see a line up at the checkouts. It's because we know we have far more important things to be doing than wasting time lining up at a supermarket checkout. Having previously worked behind the telling counter at a bank, plus as a checkout manager at a grocery store, there would barely be one day that went by in which there wasn't at least one customer who would complain about having to wait in line. Whilst many companies tend to shortchange the frontline of their business on staff numbers, just to save on costs, much of the time, queues form off the back of an influx of customer numbers, who all seem to have a habit of flocking in at the same time. Not that it's prearranged or anything, it's just that people have the same idea at the same time. Even in the business I run nowadays, many customers basically want their product delivered yesterday, such is the impatience of humankind. When it comes to achieving our goals, success, and wealth, our impatience tends to be at its worst, and most destructive. Most of us know exactly what goals we want to achieve, what we desire, and what will provide us happiness and satisfaction, the problem is, the majority of us don't want to have to work for it. We want it now! Sadly for us though, life doesn't work that way. To achieve our goals, not only is there a lot of hard work involved, but a lot of effort, a lot of energy, a lot of commitment, a lot of dedication, a lot of perseverance, a lot of resilience, and above all, a lot of patience.
