World Peace
What fulfills me? And how can I monetize that passion in a perfect world ? Well, a world full of happy people is what fulfills me. Knowing that I can go outside into the world without thinking if I am going to make it back home or not. A world that no longer judges people by their skin tone but simply just listening to their voice and the knowledge that comes out of it. A world that no longer wants to control the masses but only wants to control themselves. A world that loves each other and watches out for their village like back in the olden days. A world that believes we come from the same creator and we are truly brothers and sisters. A world that no longer hates on each other because one is doing better than the other, and instead helps lift one another to see the gift God has created for them and only them. This is what fulfills me, a world full of peace. Sort of like a heaven on earth mentality. But hey, I am only human and I can only make a change one day at a time. By working on myself and beating the battles that I once endured, I can help someone else do the same. I believe if we help each other face our fears on becoming who we truly are meant to be, we can achieve peace on earth. One act at a time.

Who will listen
Why do writers fall into the category of the “starving artist”? Because it is so hard to get a foot in the door. There are “rules” that a group of publishers and investors have decided we must follow in order to get a head. These “rules” include certain subjects and costs. Have you noticed every year or every few years there are certain topics of books that dominate the charts? That’s because some executives have decided what they want to trend and those who are outside that box get pushed to the margins and have to either fight or change for the “trends”. Then there is the cost. A writer normally has to work a normal job in order to survive and writing is done on the side. It takes so long to make a living from writing because there are so many roadblocks keeping them from getting a foot in the door. Then there is the psychological block of whether or not they will reach an audience. An open writing community is what these writers need. I personally think in a different way and have yet to make a living with writing and I know I can’t be the only one. I would like to create a community that no matter what a person writes, they will be able to communicate and build an audience. This also includes fanfiction writers.

The Blossoming Paper Florist
Not only did the pandemic of Covid virus 19 put a pause on most of our lives around the world but it also lit a spark in some of us, such as myself, to start something that they’ve been afraid to start. I’ve always been a creative person and have always loved colorful pretty things. So when I started seeing a surge of paper floral artists on Instagram, something stirred in me! I could do that! I’m going to do that. So I decided that I was going to start a paper floral business too.

Memory Lane
As a young girl, I can remember sitting with my grandmother as she taught me how to sew. Her lessons taught me that discipline, patience, and focus can lead to beautiful results. Now, as a youth mentor, who seeks to inspire and empower youth to reach their full potential I want to give that same love back to my community.

A Beatnik Story
The Journey I found myself rummaging through my old drawers filled with leftover cotton, needles, scissors. I was overwhelmed by the sense of not knowing how to be creative again, of not knowing where to start. My thoughts were tangled and a huge sense of anxiety took over me.

The Joy of CardCraft
When I look at a pair of scissors, I see an opportunity to create meaningful messages. My name is Damola 'D' Omotosho I am the CEO and founder of a card company called CardCraft, where every card is handcrafted. Although you can’t always be present with the people you love, I have imagined a place in which the love you send is always hand delivered. I believe connection is a powerful and impactful way to show love to others. In a society glued to our screens and scrolling through social media, many of us are open to the chance to make the little memories and moments mean that much more.

Create Your Happiness
Dear Fiskars and Vocal Community, It’s a Wednesday, I sit here in a coffee shop in New Mexico, jotting notes on the rules and guidelines to enter a contest that has been building in my soul to enter. I have seen the contest ad everywhere I go, it’s haunting me or maybe it’s the inter-web algorithms catching me every time, I think… “I want to enter the Vocal/Fiskars community contest”. Whichever it is, it’s been a sign for me, and signs are everything these days. The more I follow the signs, the more my creativity sings. The more I feel joy, the more I am reminded of what I am on this Earth to do.

From Butterflies for Hope to the Maine RBG Collar
It began with Covid; for weeks we had been hearing of the virus in China, which had traveled to Italy and through Europe and then on to New York and eventually shut down most of the United States and much of the world. Thus hurting economically millions of people.
