A dream to redeem
How I got here It was a translucent paper with a poorly drawn mermaid on top & a sea background. My brother was moving the top see through layer from side to side on top of the background painting. I was mesmerised by the magic taking place right in front of me. The mermaid appeared to be swimming in the patched water colored background but in my 5 year old mind this was a scene from an animated movie.

A Beatnik Story
The Journey I found myself rummaging through my old drawers filled with leftover cotton, needles, scissors. I was overwhelmed by the sense of not knowing how to be creative again, of not knowing where to start. My thoughts were tangled and a huge sense of anxiety took over me.
