Book Review: “Resilient Walker” by Dr. Shree Walker
My reading schedule is pretty full and I had no plans to allow Dr. Shree Walker’s memoir to jump the line ahead of others I needed to read for research. A few unlikely things occurred that put her book in the front of the rotation and I’m glad they did.

Does "The Secret" really work?
As society continues to evolve so does the way we see ourselves and others. It always seems like that person you've been stalking on Instagram has a much better life than you do. I used to always be so upset because good things were happening to other people and nothing good ever seemed to happen to me. This constant feeling of not being good enough can lead you down a very negative and dark path, I will be the first one to hold my hands up and say I used to be one of those people.

Publishing Triumph For Illiterate Self-Made Millionaire. Shirley Yanez, CEO of fashion brand Venus Cow, has been offering free talk therapy since 2005. She is not a doctor or a qualified psychologist. Suffering with dyslexia in her early years, she swapped the classroom for business. Selling cigarettes at 10 was her first entrepreneurial venture, and she started in the world of work, unable to read and write. Her extraordinary story documents a steep climb to unbelievable financial success, becoming MD of a large, public, UK company, and then building her own business to make her millions in the 90s, only to lose it all in the dot.com market crash in 2000. Battling all the odds, near death, and homelessness in Hollywood, she now shares her story and journey to self actualisation with the help of Carl Jung in her book The Mind Detective—Austin Macauley Publishers

'The Mind Detective'
One of six children, Shirley Yanez was born and raised in poverty on a council estate in Leicester in the 1950s. She received no formal education, and would later discover that she was dyslexic. She would go on to use her innate confidence, unbreakable self-belief, and indestructible drive to escape her difficult start in life, finally reaching the top of the money and power mountain within the hyper-capitalist world of Wall Street and the City of London finance.

Living the Dream
Living the Dream is not another book about accumulating great material wealth and living a luxurious life by using knowledge of the fundamental law of attraction (simply put, you attract what you focus on). This book is written to awaken you to the fact that you’re dreaming now. Yes, you. Your life is a dream, an illusion in your mind, streaming across consciousness on autopilot without the power of individual direction from your point of observation. The pilot is asleep. Living the Dream is about finding your true being within the dream and deliberately, with knowledge and understanding, taking charge of and directing this mental process we call life. In formal education we were told early on that life is a dream. At that time we didn't have the faculties of consciousness to fully understand how true those words are. But, it's a new day! We're entering an age of great light and mass adoption of truth that has escaped us in times past.

Inspirational Books to Add to Your Collection
I am an incredible fan of the written word. Since a child, I would indulge in different worlds through the covers of some of my favorite books. I would lock myself in my room until finished; sometimes going an entire day without food or sleep. While I cannot devote as much time to reading as when I was a kid, I still love adding to my reading list each month. While I don't discriminate, I do go through phases of what type of books I like reading.
