Good Days With LJ: Week 2
Recently I have been reflecting on my life. Reaching the end of my early 20s and having no idea of what to pursue in life can be a daunting aspect. At one time I had it all figured out. I'd go to University, study Modern Languages, and work my way towards becoming an interpreter for the United Nations. What a dream. However, three months into my course it just wasn't meant to be and I left. Five years on, with a love-hate relationship with retail, I still to this day have moments of feeling defeated and scared about what the future holds, even when the present is what should matter.

The Irony of Common Courtesy
I don't know how many times I have complained about this, but I complain about it a lot. Like a lot, a lot. To the point it probably annoys my husband. And every single time I go out in public, it gets worse. Slowly through my life I have started to hate going out in public, mostly because of having to be around the people. It's gotten to the point that I literally want to slap so many strangers that I come into contact with. The amount of respect that is missing from the way people are raised and taught today is honestly so disturbing.

Why Do We Fear
My Dear Friend, Fear Today I want to share something going on in my mind, I think about it day in day out. I feel a lot of us live a life of constant fear; it might not be obvious as we all have learned the art of hiding it, hiding it from others and protecting it from ourselves.

The Big Picture
Illusions How can you see an illusion as an illusion when it appears to be so real? And how is it that it seems so real if it is an illusion? The illusion seems so real because so many people believe that it is not an illusion. It lies in the wisdom of the person involved. It deals with our own power over our own brains using the Reticular Activation System (RAS) and the intention to be open to new truths. Once we also believed that everything physical moved from one point to another through time and space.

Tomorrow Is Just Tomorrow
Most self-help books will tell you when you are feeling bad to remind yourself that tomorrow is another day. And so it is. But if you expect that tomorrow will be any different from today, and then continue to do the same things and think the same thoughts, then you are in for a sad surprise.
