5 Tips for Staying Happy
Remember you deserve to be happy

Life can be very stressful, and sometimes it's hard to find a way out of the stress. Working and dealing with life can cause us to burn out. Dealing with paying bills, taking care of a family, or any other outside stress that anyone could be dealing with, all adds up. Making sure that you are happy in a world full of stress and depression is something that we all need to do. Self care is one of the best things we can do for our mental health. Here are five tips to stay happy.
Getting a Hobby
Finding something that takes your mind off of all the hectic life things that you may have going on can bring you some happiness. Finding things that relieve your stress instead of building it is key to happiness. Some hobbies that relieve stress are running, and entering competitions like 5k runs around your city. You can also do things such as painting or drawing. These can also put you in a relaxed mood. Learning how to do new things is also something you can do. Learning a new hobby can get you out of your comfort zone, and may inspire a newfound happiness that you did not know you needed.
Affirmations
Telling yourself positive things daily can help improve your mood. Instead of saying, oh I have to go to work today, change the narrative, and instead say that, I get to go to work and make money. Another example is instead of saying, I wonder if this is going to be a good day, tell yourself that it will be a good day. This may not feel like much at first, but the more positive things that you tell yourself, the more of a change you will see in your mood, and also how you feel about yourself.
Saving Money
Saving money and getting out of debt, if you are in debt, can take away a lot of your problems. Most of the time, people tend to stress about not having money, or not being able to afford certain luxuries in life, but finding ways to save a little money at a time, or pay off some of your debt can reduce your stress tremendously, which in turn can make you happier. Putting away money for a rainy day can also help when something goes wrong, so that you will not feel the pressure of trying to figure out how you will pay for a certain thing. Taking Vacations
Plan vacations to take, and go on them. The luxury of not being at home, and not surrounded by the things that cause you stress on a daily basis will help you to relax your mind and body. When you are on vacation, do not take any phone calls or texts from people that are work-related or that tend to make you unhappy. Vacation time is a time for you to unwind and be carefree, and not worry about the things that are happening at home or at work. Have yourself a drink or two to take the edge off if that is helpful.
Going to the Spa
A spa day is a day full or relaxation. Everyone needs to incorporate one of these days into their routine. There are some companies that you pay every month to go and get a massage every month. This will give you something to look forward to, and also help you to relax and take the edge off.
Dealing with life can be hard no matter what it is you are going through. Remembering to take care of yourself is the most important thing that we all should do. You can not help anyone else in life unless you help yourself first. Happiness is a mental thing you just have to win the battle.
