How to Have a Retreat Day at Home
In the summer of 2017, I did a week-long yoga retreat in the mountains of Serbia. It was one of the most life-changing experiences I’ve ever been through. Not only because of the direct result of this week but because I learned a magic trick.

6.Surrender and become your authentic self.
We all at one moment in time have craved for a sense of direction, for a sign from above to be sent directly to us to aid in the flux of self-discovery. We all hope that this will lead us to our true purpose and ultimately understand our universal role in connection to the realm of spirituality. We need to make our intention focused with an open mind and pure heart if we want to receive guidance from our spiritual family. Interpretation of the answers we seek from the Number six is drawing your attention to the domestic realm, the number that represents the unconditional love that a mother brings. To give and to receive is a great gift associated with the Heart. Most often, it brings love, healing, and gentleness to all situations. In numerology, the number 6 represents The Lovers Card, regarded as feminine, relating to the planet Venus and the zodiac sign Virgo.

My first lesson in Gratitude
For this post, we're going to have to get in the time machine back to 2012, which was my last year of high school. Tensions were very high because I had my exams this year obviously. My education I took quite seriously as it's drummed into you throughout your school life that EVERYTHING depends on your GCSE results! If you get an E in something you'll never get married type crap you know! Your whole life depends on these results.

Everything You Do Creates Ripples
Even if we just sit on the couch and watch Netflix all day, we influence the world. For example, what we watch affects the decision of which shows the channel will continue to broadcast and which will not. We always make decisions that are measured, evaluated, and used to make further decisions.

Taking The Scenic Route
A few months ago, my partner and I went on a trip down south to visit family. It was supposed to be an easy drive down, sticking to the highway and arriving by late afternoon. To say it didn’t go to plan is an understatement! Next thing you know, we’re driving up some narrow road up the steepest mountain range with no phone reception, no idea where we are, and daylight fading fast. It turns out that we had chosen another route on our digital maps without even realising it, and had driven the scenic route.

The Rise of Judges
Sitting dutifully erect, well barely, the Judge stares with wide eyes at its court. Witness after witness is brought before it, each more entertaining yet some how less convincing than the last. The Judge has seen this before, too many times to count, the same story, the same excuses and the same reasons why they should be allowed to live. The Judge is restless, having observed this song and dance since childhood nothing is new and because it doesn't surprise or delight any longer the Judge has no sympathy. Death. It roars, and nods off drooling a bit back to the next witness.

Trying (and not quite succeeding) to become a writer
If you're anything like me, you've always dreamed of walking into a Waterstones or a WHSmith and finding your name proudly displayed across the book in a large, bold font. And if you're really like me, you'd want to see that book as high up the best-seller list as possible. It's a dream that I've held on to for a decade of writing (I wrote my first short story when I was 13, yes, it was bad), and if those ten years have taught me anything, it's that envisioning your name on the front of a book is a fuck load harder than actually getting anybody reputable to print something you've written.
