Talk Thirty to Me
Since I've rounded the corner in the final lap of my twenties hitting the big 3-0, I’ve become rather nostalgic and have taken a look at the last decade through a retrospective lens where I see various versions of myself come to life and die by means of growth. That’s not to sound morbid or anything but it’s true—who doesn't grow into different versions of themselves as they get older? Experiencing life in it's rawest form, being an adult meant falling in love, heartbreak, careers, quarter-life crises, making life long friends and losing friends I've had all my life. With some great stories under my belt—here are some of the lessons my twenties have taught me:

Gemini
John Locke must have hated a Gemini or two. In Chapter XI of An Essay Concerning Human Understanding, Locke examines the distinction between wit and judgement. Wit concerns the “assemblage of ideas” and values the ability to assemble those ideas with “quickness and variety.” Locke sees wit as a mode of making light of the realities of two ideas and celebrating an easily digestible similarity between them. He views wit as “entertainment and pleasantry” that requires “no labor of thought to examine what truth or reason there is in” a given matter (Locke).

How to Succeed By Knowing Yourself
“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom” ~Aristotle The most important question, a person should ask is "who am I?" Every question in life can be viewed after this question. Self-awareness is one of the most important realizations a person must have. It can help us greatly before stepping into any field or career. It can save us from heartbreak before we go out into the world. If you are not aware of your own, passion, interests, thoughts, actions, behaviors and mood patterns then it may be tough to be able to understand the world around you.

Saturday Quote Of The Day (Fear Of Judgment)
I mentioned yesterday that no matter how much we try to run and hide from change, we will never be able to escape it, as change is something that is both inevitable and unavoidable in life. Change is a natural part of life after all, but there is another aspect of life we can neither run nor hide from also, but unfortunately, this aspect of life has been manufactured by humankind, and that is judgment. As a whole, humankind has become so opinionated, selfish, cold hearted, and arrogant, that the overwhelming majority of people worldwide can't refrain from judging others, and creating their own perception and assessment of others. Just from the way people dress, or look, or act, or behave, or speak, or associate with others, we have developed a terrible habit of categorizing others. We make assumptions about people without really knowing them, or understanding what they are dealing with, or have dealt with, in their lives. It's bad enough to judge others in such a way, but then what's even worse is that we form a negative opinion, dislike, and even hatred, towards others purely because they make decisions, or execute actions, or have certain beliefs, that don't fit our agenda, or that inconvenience us, or that we disagree with. None of us like being inconvenienced obviously, but when we are inconvenienced because someone is purely following their goals and dreams, and creating a future of their own design, that's blessed with happiness, success, and prosperity, and we become angry and frustrated about it, then we have a serious issue. Why should we be opposed to someone chasing their goals, and wanting to create the best future for themselves? Just because they make decisions, or engage in actions, that we wouldn't perhaps do ourselves, or we may disagree with, that's not their problem, it's ours! Everyone has the right to create a future filled with happiness and success for themselves after all, including ourselves. We should never judge people for that, nor stand in their way. In fact, we should be showing support and encouragement towards them, just as we would like from others when it comes to pursuing our own goals.

A good life, can not be idle
A few days ago, I went to the bank to find a friend, just met a cleaning aunt, is mopping the floor in the hall. My friend chatted with me and said, can you tell, she has millions of dollars in savings? My friend told me, this aunt old family relocation, took a lot of money. In the past, she was an authentic rural woman.

Gratitude can help you overcome difficulties
Cartoonist Ramsey's list of things for which he is grateful does not include the two works for which he was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. In fact, he's thankful for: his first job out of college as a janitor at a high school; a part-time job he had to take in the Great Recession; being diagnosed with melanoma; and people's distrust of him. "Every twist and turn and bump in the road was a blessing," he says. That janitor's job led him to his current wife, the janitor's daughter; being fired from his job enabled him to find a second career in the book illustration business and radio; and being diagnosed with cancer led him to devote himself to raising awareness of the dangers of melanoma, saving hundreds of lives. You could say that those setbacks and ups and downs were the wind that lifted his wings. "There's an apt analogy that if you're going downstream in a canoe and you hit a rock, maybe you'll drown or maybe you'll prop the boat up in another direction." Ramsey says, "If you can prop the boat up in the other direction, that's a blessing."

The 10 Life Lessons I learned from Cosmo Kramer
“I want to go home,” I blurted out in exasperation, moments after sitting down at a restaurant. “I can’t believe this. I have been planning this outing for weeks, and now that I am here, all I want to do is go home and rest.”

Changed by habit
A good habit is enough to change a person's life, is not a false statement. Liang, who graduated from a famous university in the south, has a very strong sense of time, and there is no "late" in his dictionary. Study period, the habit of at least half an hour early every day to school classes. After joining the workforce, he used to go to work at least half an hour earlier every day. Every day, never stop.
