Sometimes You're Feeling It Sometimes You're Not
More often you're not

Sometimes you feel great and other times you feel terrible. The fact of the matter and the truth is that most of the time you probably won't feel great. Despite what you see on social media and all of the highlights people are putting out there it's just the truth.
But that doesn't mean that you have to let the bad times get you down. Quite the opposite actually. Yes, we need to lean in and work hard during the great times but it's probably even more important that we lean in and work hard during the bad times as well. Because pushing through the bad times is what makes us grow. It's where we get better. If we only show up and workout when we feel great then we probably won't get very far. At that rate, you'd probably only end up working out about twice a week. And that is not nearly enough consistency to see progress.
Anybody can show up on a great day and give their all but who can show up on their worst day and still give their all? That's becoming rarer of a breed of people every single day. In a world where we can completely tune out our own thoughts or worries basically on command, it becomes easier and easier for us to not show up or not do what we know we're supposed to do. We have destructive distractions available to us that we can access on-demand at any given moment. But, in doing that, we leave so much more on the table. Have you ever thought about how much you could be leaving on the table? I'll give you an example. I didn't want to write today. I was going to blow it off because I didn't feel like I had anything to say.
But I was wrong.
All I had to do was start. No matter where you're at in your life today and no matter what you're going through whether it's the best of times or the worst of times just start. Get yourself on the path, get yourself moving, and just GO. Accept the fact that you aren't going to feel "Instagram" great all the time. Your life isn't a filter and this isn't a game. It's up to you to show up and make it happen. It's up to you to create your dreams into reality. Nobody is coming to get you or bail you out.
It's. All. On. You.
And you should like that! Because that means that you hold all of the power. No matter how you're feeling or what's going on you always hold all of the power in your own life and nobody can take that away from you. On the other hand, that also presents you with an incredible responsibility to make your life exactly what you want it to be. Don't let some bad feelings or moments or days bring your whole life and mission down. Learn to push through the bad days and use them to make the good days feel even better. Always keep things in perspective and know that the bad days aren't ever as bad as they seem. There's always someone out there who has it worse than you do at any given moment.
With all of that being said now it's up to you to make it happen.
Just show up and watch the amazing thing that will happen once you get going. You'll feel better. Heck, you might even feel great. But don't go out looking for someone else to do that for you. It's up to you to create that for yourself. Only YOU can make yourself happy in this life. Whether it's the best of days or the worst of days it's always up to you.
Embrace that role.
Stay On The Path.
Get After It.
