Take this opportunity to assess your life, as it stands. Ask yourself, are you honestly happy with where you are at in life? Ask yourself, are you honestly happy with the direction in which your life is headed? Ask yourself, are you genuinely satisfied and fulfilled in everything you do, and the lifestyle you live? Ask yourself, are you truly achieving success, your goals, and prosperity? If you have answered "yes" to each of these questions, and with complete honesty, then I have to commend you, and I have great deal of admiration for you, because the truth is that only a small percentage of people worldwide are at a stage in life where they can honestly say they feel happy, satisfied, fulfilled, successful, and prosperous, and they have achieved their goals. For the majority of people in the world, they are living their life well below expectations to their desires. Many will put on a brave face in an attempt to keep up appearances, to showcase to everyone they are happy and satisfied with their life, perhaps even with the motive to encourage envy and attraction towards them, but deep down, they are far from happy and satisfied. Most people live a life that resembles groundhog day, at least for five days of the week anyway. Wake up early, work, commute, eat, pay bills, view social media, watch television, go to bed. Finally, when the weekend comes around, then there's a bit more flexibility to do some of the more leisurely and fun stuff in life, such as shopping, hanging out with the friends, drinking, or going out visiting various attractions. Basically, it's a life where one truly lives for 2 days of the week, but then merely exists for the other 5. At least there's the odd couple of weeks of annual leave throughout the year, to offer some respite and variation also, which brings a great deal of happiness and satisfaction. Is this really the life you always dreamed of?
Life will always throw challenges and adversities at us, so to keep happy and satisfied all the time becomes near impossible, but even despite these challenges and adversities, it is still possible to achieve a fulfilling, successful, and satisfying life. To describe the 5 days existence, 2 days living type of lifestyle I mention above, it is a life where any happiness and satisfaction we feel comes in bursts, rather than being a constant. We do thing, buy things, and achieve things that bring us an injection of happiness and satisfaction, but we quickly find it's only temporary. Our life as a whole is still not where we would like it to be. This is where we are only existing in life, because we are not completely happy and satisfied with our life in general. We want that feeling that even when things do go against our will and expectations, that we still feel completely grateful and appreciative of what we have, and the direction our life is going. We want to be at the stage where these such adversities and challenges may cause us concern, stress, anxiety, or even pain and suffering for a period, but we keep a positive mindset because we have shaped the life of our own design and desire. We simply focus on overcoming these adversities and challenges, and move on. For most people though, these challenges and adversities completely crush their spirits, they become a victim of their circumstances, and they succumb to the discomfort, pain, failure, and suffering. So many people have developed this attitude and belief that if they simply sit tight, and ride things out, then life will get better. If they just wait until the right time, or if they wait for the right person, then their life will positively transform. As long as they are following what the majority of other people are doing, and living by society's values, morals, and expectations, then things will work out okay. There will come a day where we will achieve our goals, or become wealthy, or find true love, or find true happiness, at least that's what many of us believe anyway. Sorry to say that life doesn't work that way!
The only way we can transition from a life that's not bringing us any happiness, satisfaction, genuine success, goals accomplishment, prosperity, and fulfillment, is to take ownership of it. Sitting back and waiting for things to improve, or work out the way we hope, isn't going to achieve the desired result. Something's got to change, it's as simple as that. It's through change that results begin to form. If you're sitting back, constantly whinging about how much you hate your job, how much you dislike your boss, and how unsatisfactory your salary is, well someone isn't going to magically walk into your office and hand you an opportunity to work a job or a business you're truly passionate about and would enjoy immensely. You need to take action! You need to make the change! Maybe you are sick and tired of not having any money, and yet your only action to creating wealth is buying lottery tickets, well that's highly unlikely to ever generate the desired result? Considering this hasn't gained you success to date, how long are you going to keep persisting with an action that doesn't work? You are placing your hopes on mere luck, rather than being prepared to work for it. You need to change your attitude! You need to change your habits! You need to change your lifestyle! You need to change your budget! Likely, you need to change your job! Maybe you're extremely unhappy and unfulfilled in your relationship, and your partner is perhaps abusive, or neglecting you? Maybe they don't truly appreciate you, and treat you with a complete lack of respect? You remain in that relationship though because it's what you're accustomed to, or you've experienced so much together, or you have many happy memories from the past with them, or you are afraid as to how they will react. There's only two options for things to improve, the first being that you openly communicate with each other about one another's feelings, you make compromises with each other, and you both commit to working on the relationship moving forward. The second option is that you find the courage to part ways with them. Both of these options require a change to be made, because circumstances just won't naturally work out by themselves.
Let's face it, the main reason why we remain stuck in a life that's not bringing us happiness, success, fulfillment, satisfaction, prosperity, and goals accomplishment, is because we are afraid of change. We are fearful of the results change may bring us, and scared of failure and potential financial loss. We stick to the theory that it's better the devil you know, than you don't know. We turn away from living the life we desire because of fear. If it's not a case of fear, then it must be a case of doubt, and the fact we don't believe we have the talent, ability, knowledge, and skill to transform our life. We start believing that the life we desire is a mere wish or dream, and could never really become reality for us. Then there's always laziness, and the fact that change involves courage, hard work, and commitment. We simply couldn't be bothered changing anything up, all because we lack the will power and drive to do so. We opt to remain living a life of unhappiness and dissatisfaction, rather than apply effort to creating the life we desire, purely because it's easier. If you genuinely want to live your life being happy, satisfied, successful, fulfilled, and prosperous then it's these four words that you need to revert back to; something's got to change! The only way something will change is by you taking action, not by sitting back and hoping things will eventually work out for the better. Get off your butt and make changes! Have the courage, drive, and will power to make something of your life, rather than waste it away in mere existence. You deserve happiness and success in life, why not strive for it? So today, what changes are you going to make today to start improving your life?
