Sermon On The Days Are Evil From 2 Timothy 3:1-5
We Are In The End Times So Evil Has Become Common —Stay Clear.

Timothy, learned from Apostle Paul and demonstrated love and dedication in teaching the Good News that brings salvation to the world. He wrote to warn the world to stay away from all kinds of sin which lead to destruction.
Text: 2 Timothy 3:1-5
“But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, hateful of good, traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power thereof. Turn away from these, also."

Introduction
Each day we rise from bed to see the sunlight demonstrate God's grace and mercy. I feel compelled to share with you how this would is rapidly going through destruction. I want to share something crucial from the book of 2 Timothy 3:1-5 with you. Bear in mind that, the Lord has already warned us to be careful in this crooked world. In this case, asking yourself “Am I being careful in this sinful world?” is very essential.
Deception is on the increase, and sin is also being normalised in our various societies today. Perversion and idolatry are flooding everywhere. It's sickening to me and I hope it does the same to all faithful believers. Child of God, it's time to truly separate yourself from the world.
I. The heart of man is hardened against God:
Today, our world is full of disobedient children. This is not a coincidence, but a fulfillment of what the Bible says in 2 Timothy 3. Truly, we see people loving money than God and His righteousness. Sadly, people are always being rebellious against the commandments of God. This is inviting His wrath and so we must be careful of the way we live. If today you know you are sinful —full of pride, disobedience, covetousness, and the like, then it's time to pray for the Lord to help you change for good before it is too late. The wages of sin is death —says the Bible.
II. Humans Now Delight In All Sorts Of Evil:
Instead of our generation delighting in the Lord, they delight in sinning and don't even feel ashamed. Sadly, the media propagates carnal programs that stir the fleshy desires of our generation to sin. The book of 2 Timothy is telling us today “they will hate what is good.” And in our world today, we see all sorts of evil, such as occultism, ritual money, bribery, and corruption.
Through hatred, someone like Charlie Kirk was assassinated while talking about God's Word at the premises of Utah University in the UNITED STATES. All these are evil and detestable in the sight of God.
III. The Problem Of Hypocrisy
Hypocrisy has become common among several Christians including some pastors and church elders. And this is a dangerous thing. Christians must be very careful about how they worship God or relate to Him. It is better to have a genuine heart for God by serving Him faithfully.
Again, we must learn how to serve others to attract more blessings from the Lord. It is time to forsake that lukewarm lifestyle that provokes the Lord. If you call yourself a follower of Jesus, then do not love the world or its material wealth.
The servanthood position is what our Lord Jesus took upon himself. He has also commanded us to be like him. So may we serve the Lord with good hearts. Be prepared to defend the faith wherever you find yourself. For your reward will be great and this is a trustworthy promise from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Lord still knows you and loves you. He knew some people would forsake what is good. But if you call yourself a Christian, you must not fall into the category of lawlessness. Obey what the scriptures instruct us to do. You must be careful in this crooked world.
Even if you have friends who are full of greed, arrogance, and practice all sorts of sin, you must not copy them. Instead, be a light of transformation for them.
It's a prophetic message to put us on our toes. Thank God we have been made aware of these devilish attitudes of people of this world. It's time you fear the Lord and stay away from sin.
One can lose salvation. If you truly accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you will not delight in sin.
"For concerning those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come, and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance; seeing they crucify the Son of God for themselves again, and put him to open shame." Hebrews 6:4-6
The grace of God doesn't permit us to keep walking in sin. Instead, the Lord has called us to separate ourselves from the world. Have nothing to do with darkness because as Christians, we are the light of the world. The "once saved always saved" heresy is destructive and unscriptural.

This is a great read. I do believe that Hebrews 6:4-6 is a warning to those who are professed believers to not pay only lip service to faith. The Holy Spirit was given to all when Christ ascended, and I liken this passage to God telling Adam and Eve that if they eat from the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil, they will die- and in disobeying the forfeited eternal life. I agree that once we accept the Truth of Crucifixion that we must strive to live like Christ did, even though it's impossible because of our human sin nature. Thank you for sharing this!
