Passion - A Word With A Dignified Meaning!

Hi, Before I proceed, let me introduce myself. I am an entrepreneur running an online gifting platform for the last three years. My passion is for business, and so I'm into it. The word "Passion" seems to be just a seven-letter word but carries a dignified meaning.

When asked many people about their passion, they answer what comes first to their minds. But is it truly their passion?

To understand this, it needs a self-examination, and we need to ask ourselves several questions.

• Am I ready to give everything for something I like?
• Am I willing to give whatever it takes to achieve goals that signify my passion?
• Am I devoted to the thing which I think I'm passionate about?
• Will I give up on the passion when life hits hard?
• And many more.

Passion means never give up attitude for me. No matter what the circumstances are, I'll be perseverant towards my aim. In my journey of business, I came across many difficulties. I started with an amateur knowledge about the business with just a handful of money from my savings that I earned from my earlier job. I had no team but some technical knowledge about web development. So, every day and night, I started working on web development. It took around 5 to 6 months to complete the website. At the same time, I was working simultaneously on product designing and getting them ready to list on the online store. Designed & wrote the description for every single product.

Then I thought things are ready, and I'll get the success that I'm looking. But, it's not that easy! I knew promoting things and optimizing the website for search engines need money. I had a small amount left, and with that I chose to hire an expert for search engine optimization. As I didn't have any knowledge about it, I relied totally upon his work and instructions.

Six months have gone by, and I did not see any good results. I used to ask the so-called expert but, he always asked me to wait. It is the time when the corona pandemic hits the country, and everything went under lockdown. All stopped, the person working on the optimization gave up saying, "I won't be able to bring results, and I'm sorry for this!". The situation was like all worse things happening at the same time. I didn't have any money left, and things were getting worse.

And this is the time when your passion within drives and supports you. I kept all problems aside and started working on finding solutions. Read a lot of things that can help me do the optimization on my own. Then, jot down every single point and started working on them one by one. I researched a lot on many things through media and articles on the internet and books. I got introduced to vocal.media as well during this time. I made a promise to myself that whatever it takes, I'll not give up on this and put all my efforts into getting things done.

Days have gone by, and finally, my efforts started showing results. Though I don't have much money to get things faster, I'm sure about one thing that the day will come for sure because I'm not going to give up anyway.

A question asked in the challenge, why should people follow me? My answer is, follow your dreams and be passionate about them than following me. Take note of the experience that I've gone through and if it somewhere encourages you, follow that! With limitations to this article, I did not share the whole experience. Someday I'll definitely share my entire journey.
