Overcoming intimidation

Do not be scared!

By The Breatharian BloggerPublished 4 years ago 3 min read

There is a jail with a population of inmates that numbers in the billions. In other words, it's a jail with no walls or barbed wire or guards, or any other physical barriers. The fact is that it is the most effective jail in the whole world. Few are able to leave, but those who do are rewarded with true and permanent freedom.

That jail exists only in our heads. Our initiative, our skill, our capacity to express ourselves, and most importantly, our ability to reach our full potential as human beings are all stifled in this jail, which is a prison of our own making.

Fear is the prisoner in this situation. Fear has a greater influence on our lives now than we are aware of. Fear influences the decisions we make, the actions we do, the habits we develop, and even our destiny. Fear has emerged as one of the most serious challenges to mankind today, manifesting itself in a variety of ways. Terrorism has risen to the height of human terror around the globe. Recent events throughout the globe have shown how fear can lead even the most powerful people to act in a desperate and brutal manner. However, the impact of fear on our own life is much more detrimental than anything a terrorist could ever hope to do. Most of us are paralyzed by a fear of death that hinders us from living.

Anxiety and phobias are caused by fear in our own life when it reaches extremes. It might seem like a death sentence for persons who suffer from such diseases to be imprisoned in a prison of terror. The terror that they are experiencing may completely take control of their lives, making life completely unenjoyable and even the simplest activities a genuine effort. Thank goodness for that, since this is not the most prevalent form of dread. One of the most harmful forms of dread is one that we have grown to tolerate as a result of its widespread prevalence.

There are some of you out there that have excellent business ideas. If you are one of them, keep reading. Fear is the thing that keeps you from moving forward. It's easy to get caught up in all the statistics about how many companies fail every year, or you worry about what your friends and family would think of you if you left your job to follow your ambitions full time. Fear of not being able to pay your bills, fear of being fired, worry of starting again, and fear of not having a working title are all things that keep you from achieving your goals. It is fear that keeps the majority of us in occupations that we do not love and, in some cases, does not even cover our basic financial necessities.

One of the most difficult fears to conquer is the apprehension about taking chances. In the context of risk management, it is the potential damage that may result from a current procedure or from a future occurrence. There are times in life when taking risks is absolutely required. If you propose marriage to someone, you must accept the possibility that they may reject your proposal. If you are competing in a race, you must accept the possibility that you may lose badly. If you want to live life to the fullest, you must be willing to accept the possibility of failure.

Don't be afraid to start that company you've been thinking about. Go ahead and learn whatever it is that you really want to study. Go ahead and pursue your dreams of being a singer, poet, artist, fashion designer, or anything else you choose. Sure, you may fail, but you may also achieve success in your endeavors. Today is the day to take a chance and face your worries.
