My Favorite Moments of the Less-Than-Favorable 2020
Moments That Made Me Smile and Showed Unity

2020 is nearly over and I think pretty much everyone is sighing with relief and praying that next year will be much less chaotic!
Although this year has been filled with mostly hard times, there's also been a few good moments sprinkled in here and there; but it's hard to remember them because this year has blown by so quickly.
While reflecting on 2020, I decided I wanted to make a little recap of my favorite moments this year and to hopefully inspire you to remember your own favorites too!
Here's my favorite moments in a less-than-favorable year:
Taylor Swift's Surprise Albums
You know this has to be included. Not only did we get one surprise album from Taylor, but a second one as well! And they're both amazing... Seriously, she's just too awesome.
There's theories about a third album possible being released in 2021 and honestly, I'm completely here for it.
Both albums really helped me through some of the hardest times in 2020 as well as inspired me to be as wonderful of an artist as Taylor Swift. It's a lofty goal, but I'll make it happen!
Black Lives Matter Movement
I'm both happy and sad to have to include this on my list. It's incredible to me to see that we're still fighting for basic human rights for all humans. But, I'm also proud to see how we came together and created substantial change. And I'm even more excited to see how much further we can reach.
This year, the Black Lives Matter movement has helped to educate and involve many more people in the fight for justice and equality.
We're not out of the water yet as the fight for racial equality continues, but I think it's easy to see now what kind of change we're capable of creating.

Harry Styles & Dresses
Harry Style blessed me and the world this year by appearing as the first solo male to take the cover of Vogue. To top it off, he was wearing a dress (and it was legendary). Apparently this created quite a stir in some conservative minded people and they claimed that these pictures of Harry were damaging to concept of "manly men".
Instead of lashing out, Harry simply appeared in an Instagram photo with another beautiful outfit captioned with "Bring back manly men". I mean, can you get more iconic? Thank you Harry for reminding the world that clothes are just clothes - have a little fun with them!
Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Animal Crossing holds a special place in my heart. After my brother passed away, my friends came together and bought me the game in hopes that it would bring some relief, even just a little. And it most certainly did.
I highly suggest getting the game or stealing a copy from a friend! Honestly, I had never played Animal Crossing before this year and I'm so happy to now have a little world to escape to. Definitely a worthwhile time investment!
Thank you to my friends who kept my spirits up - I love you all!

Biden Wins the Election
Hip-hip hooray, the President Elect is here to stay!
By far, my favorite moment of 2020, was watching Joe Biden win the Presidential Election. This win brings four tumultuous years to an end and gives the United States a chance to progress.
It's incredible how warm and bright the world felt after Biden's victory.
Ultimately, we still have a lot of work to do as country and are far from fixing anything, but I truly believe that we are finally taking steps in the right direction.
Those are my favorite moments from the craziest year I've lived through; what brought you, if even just a little, some joy this year?
Hold onto those happy memories as we take a nose dive into 2021!
Happy Holidays everyone - stay safe!
