Miss Narrator:

Multifaceted Power House

By Saroyan ColesPublished 5 years ago 3 min read

Without the contributions of black creators. All the cultural differences, spices, and dishes would be bland.

The world we live in, would be very dull. Even the modern convenience of waiting for the light to change, would not of occurred. If the inventor Garret Morgan had not seen a need for the contraption.

After I was given the green light to join, a creative writing group. That’s where I first met this woman.

I am awe inspired by her drive and ambition to tackle each day.

She is a proud African self-published author, fashion designer, and online influencer.

“Never think of yourself as a loser, because you couldn’t achieve the goals you set for yourself, at the time you anticipated. Life is just like dice, smile and keep pushing.”- Miss Narrator

Her main character Cheta, faces adversity in the light of her sexual assault. The inner strength of this fictional narrative highlights overcoming negative thoughts.

The imagery word usage is powerful, and intense dialogue in her series, moves me to tears.

Definitely if you have a minute to sit and digest her themes of her novel. You would see the how complex Cheta can be, when faced with a past, and continues to adapt.

In addition, Clara’s personal character is upstanding. She finds strength in her faith, and family. Always greeting everyone with kindness.

I feel very drawn to support her, in all her endeavors. As she keeps pursuing her passions. Never letting haters slow her down. She post uplifting quotes for her readership. Every page, she is admin of there is always philosophical debates.

“Don’t live to impress others, because humans are unsustainable. “ Miss Narrator

Above is an example of a quote from this self-published author that resonates with me. Her way of getting straight to the point, is likeable and relatable.

I admire, her desire to make her mark as a entrepreneur. She has built a sense of community on her Facebook Group Writer’s Club currently at 3.3 K members and growing. I have been immersed into expanding my black culture word etymology and syntax. Even more valuable, understanding of black culture by reading their struggles through perspective, and personal narrative on her writing page. Allowing my appreciation of black culture to grow and thrive.

Her passion to innovate overflows into fashion design.

Her Sunday best, is eye catching

from the colors, to coordinating head dress’ and tapered sleeves.

Clara dreams are big, and bold.

Her next movement, to create the natural hair/fashion group specifically (NAFAC) was born.

To give those who struggle with loving their hair a place to find encouragement. Inspiration to love themselves for their beauty within.

This group promotes natural hair resources, respect of different hair types. The testimony from group members of what works to grow and maintain their hair reminds me of the visionary Madame CJ Walker.

As a online influencer she has people in her circle who uplift and support her. Through her own personal discovery, and hustle.

I would say, she has all the qualities that embody “success”

By believing in herself Clara has cultivated and built a community of writers, readers, and friendships.

By surrounding herself with passionate driven people. She will just continue to climb the ladder. To quote her, “It’s totally fine to nurse the feeling of failure, as long as you pick yourself up from where you stopped, and keep pushing.”

These are just a few of the most important aspects I have learned from this individual. Who continuously shows by example how to hype one’s self up.

As she is fueled to push, educate, motivate herself and others along for the journey.

Miss Narrator can do anything she sets her mind to. In my heart, I believe she will go down in history as a powerful, philosophical, innovative black business woman.
