Q: What’s your name and where are you from?
A: My name is Rommdot aka Romm. I’m 22 .
I am from St.Tammany Parish , just across the other side of the bridge from New Orleans,Louisiana. Some call it the 985. I grew up in a city called Mandeville , Louisiana. We call it the Northshore , we got a lot of hidden talent out here . Everybody on they own wave .
Q: Why do you love what you do?
A: I’ve been making music since I was 16 . I was surrounded by music ever since I could remember though. I love making music , it brings out my creative side. It helps me vent all my feelings , when I hop on the mic you can not only hear but feel what I’m saying . It’s like a book of emotions, something like a diary of what I seen and what I grew up around . I’m kind of introverted but when I put the headphones on , everybody listens. I control the crowd.
Q: What makes you different?
A: I believe I’m different because of how versatile I am . I don’t believe there is another like me . I can get on anything and rip through it . I like to listen to older music , or stuff I heard or grew up on and I incorporate it into my craft . Revamp things you know? Can’t have the same plain Jane . My ambition and my dedication makes me different. I put in a lot of work , I just remain humble. Don’t have to brag too much , my work gonna do that for me .
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A: I see myself with a couple Grammys in 5 years . Not too many notice my craft yet but it ain’t too long . I also see my music in movies and tv shows . Going state to state and country to country . Giving back to my community after I get out of it . The only right thing to do . When you a legend in the making you gotta learn how to teach your people.
Q: What do you want to accomplish in life?
A: I want to accomplish making history. 20 years from now , I want the whole world to see what difference I had made besides bringing something new . I want kids to be inspired by Romm, my music to touch somebody . As long as I do that I’ll be fine .
Q: What do you bring to your industry?
A: I bring that real , melodic ,raw , southern hospitality. Or I can bring the pluggbnb ,vibe type , rage type music . The choice is yours , pick your poison . My music can be listened to by everyone . Adults , Elders , Teenagers and Babies . Romm is for the people . My music is for the kids under bleachers at the football game , the players on the field , the ones who slept on, them boys in the trenches , whoever work a 9-5 , anybody . We all the same in someway . I bring the congregation.
Q: What do you want to be remembered by?
A: I want to be remembered as a goat . A symbol that anywhere , everyone can get to it by themselves. Don’t ever give up on your dreams. I want to be remembered by my style , and what I brought to the table .

Meet Cartel
My Name is Cartel So I am a recording artist coming out by way of Tampa , Florida with also some time growing up in Atlanta , Georgia. I was born in Tampa in the early 90”s in a neighborhood called West Tampa. When I was about 10 years old we ended up moving to the Eastside of Atlanta Dekalb county to be exact , we moved in with my grandparents and it was history ever since. Georgia allowed me to grow sonically because at that time every major artist you could think of was literally coming from the city and that allowed me to grow with the music. I was able to meet people like the dungeon family, goodie mob, T.I , young Jeezy, Gucci mane, young thug, the Migo’s etc. all because at the time Atlanta was one big hub of music talent and when I ended up coming back to Tampa I had a whole lot of experiences that most other artists didn’t because Florida was a little behind on the music scene but Florida is also where I discovered my new sound that I blended with my sound I picked up in Atlanta and it’s been love ever since. I’m In love with making music because of the competitive nature that comes along with it as well as the love for making the music and taking the time to work through my emotions and or the time of my life as I make music it helps me express myself and also navigate through my thoughts. I also enjoy listening to music and or performing my own music while on the go or at a venue , it’s almost nothing more exciting and nerve wracking at the same time as that but it’s what make a this a unique experience. My parents have a deep love for music and it was passed down to me through the constant practice of singing and listening to music all during my childhood. What makes me different I feel is my flow and my sound . I know with all the different artists coming out it’s easy to fall into the same type of sound or wave but I think just by me being from basically two different places it allowed me to create a different sound than most and I feel that plus my choice of style and how I dress it allows me to stand out some. In 5 years I see myself with a billboard charting song/album I also see myself collaborating with the biggest artists and endorsing companies growing my brand to its maximum capacity and also having my city or place of residence on complete lock so that anything I need done will be done with the least amount of friction . In life my goal is to bring people together with great music and allow myself to bring my family out of poverty and into prosperity with my talents of music and business. I bring new light and energy to the industry , I feel more people are making sad or violent music when me I’m just trying to vibe and make people enjoy listening and partying to music again.

My New Book is Finally Here
My poetry collection Beautiful and Brutal Things is done. It's actually done and finally published over 270 pages. Over a year of my life went into this book. More than a year, really. Long days at my computer, sometimes seven days a week because I couldn't stop even when I probably should have. Then two months of editing that felt harder than the writing itself. But it's finished, and I'm still standing, and the book is real.
