Meet Kxdd Kraze

What's your name and where are you from?

My name is Errol Steele and I grew Up in the parish of Trelawny Jamaica in a small town called Martha Brae. I went by Kxdd Kraze a lot after I started doing music, and it just stuck to me.

Why Do You Love What you do? Music came later in my life, I started out hooping as a means of just staying out the streets, I started messing with music after I graduated high school, it was a challenging process to learn all those little details right of the bat, But the process of making music intrigued me, I fell involve with the process, now spending hours just listening for that right beat, hours practicing and experimenting on different sounds became addicting. I took the music route and grew up in Jamaica where it is mainly Reggae/Dancehall. You would have thought that I'd be doing that type of music but I like how creative you can get with hip Hop and that’s why I ventured into that genre. I’m getting to tell my story the way I want to.

What makes you different? I’m bringing a different style to the game, I think of my music as a vibe. Once you start listening it puts you in a different mode, every word is like connecting a puzzle. I embed clever lines within melodies so once you hear it one time it is gonna slap. I've stopped writing because my producer and Long Time Friend Phvutom told me you can’t write vibe and that is what makes me different. My lines come in the moment so I give each track exactly what it needs to bring life to it. It’s all about paying attention to the beat you’ve got to hit those pockets, be precise with the drops and be creative, you want to tell the story the best way you can.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hopefully amongst some of the biggest names in the industry, that’s definitely what my sights are set on bigger and better everyday. I put the necessary work in so it's really just about improving with each song until it hits the right ear.

What Do you wanna accomplish in Life? I already Got most of the basics out the way I graduated high school, went to college and got my degree, I moved out of my city. I mean that’s cool and everything I got a backup but I wanna get to the point where I can make things better for my family and change things for the people around me.

What do you bring to the industry? What it’s been missing for a lil while now. Music nowadays is starting to sound generic, it sounds all the same. I'm bringing that real music back in the game. Right now it's all about flexing and rapping about who broke and who they are beefing with, not a lot of substance in the songs, I don’t feel nothing listening to most artists. It's just like a wasted couple minutes and when it's over you don’t remember much of what you heard. My lines are going to stick.

What do you want to be remembered By? The amount of lives I changed with my music, it's their story too, same game just different levels. I want my music to do something for people, when you hear it I want them to feel how I felt making the song. You're going to feel like you were right there with me in the studio with me.
