What’s your name and where are you from?

My Name is AyeCee, and I’m From Harlem, New York. I was Originally born at Lincoln hospital in the Bronx, NY and lived in the High Bridge section of the Bronx until I was six when I then moved and was raised in Harlem on 150th street between 8th Avenue and Bradhurst avenue.

Why do you love what you do?

I love to do Music because it is my passion,my therapy, and my safe place. I get to express myself and connect with people which gives me the most sense of purpose. Music has always been there for me when nothing was. I feel I. Love with being in the studio and writing when my cousin Hcho and his friends had a studio built in Frederick Douglas Academy on 148th street and 7th Avenue. One notable person from my cousin's group “Demevolus” was an artist by the name of Charles Hamilton who grew and eventually would get signed by Pharrell. Being around those guys and seeing their success inspired me and showed me that it is possible.

What makes you different?

When I was younger I always hung around my older cousins and older guys so I kind of grew up fast. The first time i ever smoked weed i was 11 , I was hanging around guys 16 ,17 ,18 years old at 11 , some were good influences and some not as good ,so I have alot of wisdom from older heads and personal as well.My cousin hcho and his friends were always in the studio, I would be in there just chillin while there would be recording or making beats .so it just was regular to me . I don’t have a gimmick or persona, I'm just me. I'm a student of the game, I’ll sit on YouTube for hours just watching interviews, music videos, documentaries just trying to get better as an artist, and also just for entertainment. Another thing that separates me is I’m adaptable. I notice that a lot of people either like old school music only or new school only, I appreciate both.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years I see myself with a few gold or platinum records, competing with the top artists on billboard. I also see myself invested in business ventures. I want to get into real estate, more into stocks, starting a label and helping other artists be successful .

What do you want to accomplish in life?

On a professional level I want to become one of the greatest in my craft and I want to inspire others . I want to make history. I want to win Grammys and get into acting and screenwriting.

On a personal level,I want to break the Cycle by creating generational wealth for my kids and beyond. I also want to be respected as one of the best rappers to ever be in the game .

What do you bring to your industry? I bring a refreshing New but familiar sound. A blend of the new and old sound. On a fashion level I bring new trends and styles that people will gravitate to. Being from Harlem I take pride in setting trends and being a trailblazer, along with my work ethic I will contribute to further the success of hip hop.

What do you want to be remembered by? I want to be remembered as Someone who worked hard, earned everything, and was one of the greats at my craft. An artist who made music that people would enjoy and create memories with or just go crazy and had fun to.
