Meet 808wrld

By Sarah BlessingPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

What’s your name and where are you from?

My name is 808wrld, and I am a music producer from Seattle, Washington. Growing up in the area that produced the likes of Macklemore and Lil Mosey, I have always been inspired by the sounds and energy of the city's music scene. From a young age, I knew that music was my passion and that I wanted to pursue it as a career.

Why do you love what you do?

As a music producer, I have the ability to bring my creative vision to life and share it with the world. I love the process of starting with an idea and watching it develop into a fully-formed song. There's nothing more satisfying than hearing a beat I've created come to life with the addition of a talented artist's lyrics and vocals along with producers. Music has the power to bring people together, and I'm grateful to be able to contribute to that through my work. I also love being able to find underground talent and put people on into semi to main steam line music.

What makes you different?

What sets me apart from other music producers is my ability to imagine and then materialize whole songs. I pride myself on my skills in educative production and networking, which have allowed me to collaborate with a variety of artists and producers making the result of unique projects. I believe that my fresh perspective and unique sound bring something new to the music industry. An example would be my album prospect.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In five years, I see myself continuing to make great music and collaborating with even more talented artists. I want to expand my reach and bring my sound to a wider audience, while still staying true to my roots and telling stories though music. I plan to continue my management company to mentor young producers and artists who are just starting out. I believe that giving back to my community and helping others succeed is an important part of my journey. It reflects how I’ve started in what others seem as a far-off industry. Music is competitive and we won’t get ahead unless we help one another out.

What do you want to accomplish in life?

Ultimately, I want to be remembered as one of the greatest music producers of my time. I want to leave a long lasting legacy through the music industry with the artists and producers I work with. I believe that my projects have the power to inspire and uplift people, and I want to use my platform to make a positive impact on the world.

What do you bring to your industry?

I believe that my ability to bring a fresh perspective and unique sound to the music industry is what sets me apart. My projects are instantly recognizable, and I'm not afraid to take risks and try new things. I'm constantly experimenting with different sounds and techniques, and I'm always looking for ways to push the boundaries of what's possible in music.

What do you want to be remembered by?

In the end, I want to be remembered as someone who made a difference through their music. I want my music to reach audiences through story-telling. I want my projects to inspire and uplift. I want my collaborations to showcase the best of what artists have to offer. Most of all, I want to be remembered as someone who stayed true to their vision and their roots, and who never compromised their artistic integrity for fame or fortune.
