Love Is In Our World — Many Humans Don’t Know What It Is
For 2026, take the time to know love.

A Productive and Prosperous New Year to all.
Watching the sun as it set by the seaside, a group of young people nearby was arguing about love.
“I am telling you,” a tall woman in black-and-white exercise attire said, “there’s no love left in our world.”
“Maxine is right,” a male to her left adds. “Hatred is in control.”
Two males nod in agreement. One single female stared at them in shock and said, “You actually believe that!”
“Hellen Know-it-all, tell us where love is?” Maxine and the two males asked in agreement.
She gave them a wicked smile, her eyes on the male to her right. She points at him, saying, “You, Daniel, June was good to you. She adored you and treated you like a king. You cheated on her, stole her credit card, and maxed it out. Have your side chick harassing her, too. She has to sue you, and took out a restraining order against you. You didn’t think all of what she did was love?”
He sighed, then admitted, “She was love. I shouldn’t have done that to her. I paid her back and apologized.”
Her eyes swayed to Maxine.
“Ian worshipped you and the ground you walked on. He lied to get you your dream job at his company. You wanted his position, so you lied and caused him to lose his job. You got it and lost it three months later. The company rehired him at a higher salary. He loved you. You haven’t found another guy who treated you like a queen yet, and it’s been seven years.” Hellen reminds her.
“Yeah,” she agrees, as pain accompanies the memory. “He hasn’t forgiven me. I just lost it for a moment.”
Hellen’s eyes turned to the final male. He blinked as she shoved him down Memory Mews.
“Andrew, Joyce adored you, bought you into her home and business. You got her drunk at your surprise birthday party that she had for you, and had her sign over her business to you. She lost everything as the court gave her business to you. You borrowed two hundred thousand from the bank and invested it in her company, which you stole. You didn’t know that she wasn’t paying taxes and owed the IRS. She owed them three hundred thousand plus penalties. You lost everything and still owe the bank.”
His face turned red with pain, and he sighed, then admitted, “I, too, lost it. I wasn’t aware that it was love.”
“Me neither,” the other two said. Then turned to her and asked, “You know love?”
“Search my life, find anything in it where I get love and kindness and throw it away like you all?” she taunts.
Many sighs and damn, I can’t find anything to slap her with later, they stared at her and asked, “You knew love?”
“Not really,” she confessed.
“But, . . .”
“Every time you are kind to me, I give it back,” she reminds them.
“True,” they all agreed.
“I was raised to take with one hand and give with the other. Then, somewhere along the lines, lots of people were pulled to me, and most of what I gave was returned,” she explained.
“So what wasn’t returned tells you that love doesn’t live there,” Maxine said.
Hellen smiled, then said, “See how easy it is, Love is out there. Many people really don’t know it. What do you think would have happened if all three of you had returned the love you got?”
Regrets races to three hearts, and they turned, facing the sea, hiding their pain.
“Glen is happily married and just bought a second house with his wife,” Maxine said.
“Joyce owned another successful business, and this time, she pays all of her taxes,” Andrew informs.
“June got married, too,” Daniel regretted. Her husbands don’t leave her side and don’t want her to work. He is rich, too.”
“Who lost the most?” Hellen asked.
Love is out there, it’s alive, and is given to every human daily. It’s shared through simple, small actions that heal, help, make dreams possible, and many other ways that make our world better. But many humans don’t know how to identify it.
For 2026, take the time to know and identify the love that is in your life. Don’t allow it to die!
Love is out there. Take the time to know it!
