Life pt 1.

Persevere

By Liaa NecolePublished 4 years ago 3 min read

Sometimes life gives you what you need instead of what you want but don’t ever think that you’ll never obtain what you want later down the line. When we take too many losses it can very much be discouraging and depressing trust me I know I’ve been there. Life honestly was not meant to be easy but honestly at times it feels like it shouldn’t be that hard either. Sometimes we settle or we push forward til we obtain the life we want other times we sit in the situation we’re in and become lost in the world. When we settle we’re kind of giving up on the hope of having a better life, when we persevere and push forward we have hope of a better future.

Some have completely hit rock bottom when they lost everything, they either tried many times or a few times and gave up. There’s so many homeless people and often times I wonder what happened in their life that got them there. I wonder what happens in someone’s life so bad that there was no other way to escape from being out in the streets or in abandoned houses and buildings. It’s disheartening to see people struggling worse than me or others I know. To imagine them in all weather conditions, in the sickness of today’s world it’s so unfortunate that they hit the lowest point in their lives. I feel like they can be saved if they really wanted to or if someone really wanted to help them. Their goal would be to never hit rock bottom again and honestly some take advantage of the help positively or negatively. It honestly depends on their drive to make more of themselves because they were given an opportunity they probably didn’t think existed but it’s ultimately up to them on how they use that opportunity in life.

We’re always being tested and often times our actions and thoughts determine our outcome. Either we pass the test or we continuously fail the test, our drive or lack there of makes a difference. If we say we want change but we’re not working towards it then things won’t change. If we say we want change and we halfway work towards it then again, things more than likely won’t change. Yes, it’s okay to take a break from working towards your goals so you don’t burn yourself out but don’t lose sight of what you’re working towards and who you’re doing it for. I struggle and then I have break throughs and it seems to be a repetitive cycle for me that I honestly want to break. I find myself doubting my abilities or being too hard on myself or procrastinating too often and I want to change that in myself. I’m starting to see what others see in me but I still feel like my break through, my light at the end of the tunnel is still so far away. Im not content where I’m at now and at times I feel defeated. Especially not knowing how long it’s going to take for my situation to get better.

I often times feel like I’m a cat, they land on their feet, so with that analogy I feel the same. I feel like no matter how many times I have to start over even a little bit or from scratch that I’ll land on my feet at the end of the day. I know that even though I do tend to procrastinate and feel defeated I’m still optimistic about a better future. If I know that my future is destined for greatness no matter how many curve balls life has thrown my way we all can. We all can make the world a better place for ourselves if we persevere no matter how slim the chances may be. Although life may not in actuality be set up that way it’s wishful thinking at the end of the day. There’s a bright future for all of us we just have to keep going and not give up. To those that are homeless or not here due to losing everything it’s sad that that was the path of your life. To those on the brink of giving up because you just don’t think that there’s a way up don’t give up get all the help that you can I believe in you. We’re survivors, persevering is everything in today’s world, you never know what life really has in store for you until you continuously try to make a difference.
