2 Weeks, 27 Goals, and a Whole Lotta Optimism
On May 14th I will be turning 27. Not the most interesting opening sentence, to say the least, but it's weight holds pretty strong for me. Since entering my twenties, each birthday has been accompanied with a sense of dread, the dread that many of us face as we get older and begin to take stock of what we have managed to achieve with each passing year.

'How to Lose Friends and Alienate People': Demotivational Speakers
I decided to write this because I'm also writing a business plan right now. Gary Vaynerchuck is one of the leading influencers, online entrepreneurs, motivational speakers, etc. in the world. He's a very successful man and he's found something that works for him, so well done and big congratulations to the guy. He's cracked it.

It's no doubt that everyone has insecurities, and if you say you don't the chances are you're just trying to hide them from the world. 2:06 AM
So it's far too late for me to be awake right now, but I can't stop thinking about something. I've recently been taking advantage of the supposedly "open" message boxes of celebrities I follow on Instagram. It started off as just me responding stupid things to their stories, having zero expectation that they would actually see it. And if they so happened to see it, I highly doubt they would respond to me. But then I started using it as another way for me to actually try and reach out to these people I think so highly of. I'd catch a glimpse of something we had in common that we could relate on and I'd use it to try and form some kind of connection through it.

If you are able to come to terms with the next thing that I am about to say, your life will become somewhat easier. I’m sorry to be the bearer of this news, but you need to hear it. Nobody. Gives. A. Shit. I’m sorry but it’s true.

The Ocean
I come from a landlocked prairie town in Southern Alberta Canada. Not exactly Ocean inspired, actually quite the opposite. Oil, cows, and wheat. All how I started my life, knowing and loving. However, for some mystical reason, I knew The Ocean was inside of my heart, even though it scared the sh*t out of me.

Thoughts From a Writer
While watching one of my favorite movies, I came to the realization just how amazing it would be to be able to do what you love every day and night; to dance or play music or sing or draw or even write all day every day. However, it wasn’t until I really thought about it did I really get what was happening to me. For someone like me, I couldn’t possibly write like how someone danced. Both share a part of the soul, as does any passion, but writing is one of those things that could dwindle due to not nurturing. For me, I have all these words and stories playing in my mind like movies, but so rarely am I able to express them like dancers are able to express the music inside them. I understand that dance is nothing like writing, as one involves the body and the other involves the mind, but they both help people showcase the passion they have in their souls. They both help to share beauty in the world.
