Habits for Days: How I Build My Perfect Week
Leading a healthy, happy, and successful life is something we all aspire to have, but sometimes it can seem as if having all three at once is impossible. Unlike most things in our world, a fulfilling life can't be obtained with the click of a button or the swipe of a card, and this is why it can seem difficult or even impossible—but by putting in the time and determination, the results are infinitely rewarding.

The Complement and the Truth
I have a confession to make. Sometimes, when I'm sad, and I mean really really sad, I get on tumblr and I send myself anonymous messages of positivity. I'm not proud of it. If you aren't familiar with Tumblr as a website, or the way Tumblr works, than this may not make a lot of sense. Specifically, this is something that comes about a lot in the Tumblr roleplay community. Yes, I'm that dweeb. Judge me all you want, friends. In the RPC (roleplay community) something that happens a lot, is that people send each other messages of positivity. Usually along the lines of "Hey, you're super sweet and I love writing with you" or "Hey, just a reminder that you're awesome!" You know, nothing majorly important but a little message the brightens someone's day. Maybe it doesn't seem like much, but there's something to be said for logging on after a long day and getting a little self esteem boost that someone out there thinks you're cool or talented or whatever the compliment may be.

Get Your Values Together
Everyone wants value, everyone wants to be valued, everyone can be valuable. Yet, the truth is we are not who we say we are, we are more of who our values show we are. Your values depict the "WHY" of who you are, and honestly, sometimes those values get fuzzy, like old antenna televisions.

Life After Graduation (So Far)
Graduating from college with my Bachelor of Science degree was one of the biggest accomplishments that I have ever experienced in my life. I can say that it didn’t take me the normal four years like everyone else; it took me five years to finish, and I am not ashamed to say it. I told myself that this was only the beginning for me. I have a lot more to accomplish and pursue in my life. So the next thing I asked myself was: What’s next for me?

Learning to Bloom in Adversity
As the second week of my Fall semester comes to a close, I've been reflecting on my collegiate journey. More than just remembering good times, new friends I made, or anything else, I'm reflecting on how I managed to graduate with an A.A. degree, then a B.A. degree, and now trying to obtain my Master's degree. It all seems too good to be true at times and I've had the odds stacked against me; I'm a first-generation college student (neither of my parents obtained anything more than their high school diplomas), multi-ethnic, bisexual, female, and... I'm disabled.

The Unspoken Side Effects of Your Twenties
Your twenties are full of changes. Scary, fun, exciting, and anxiety provoking changes. And often times our control over those changes are extremely limited. I mean the chances of winning the lottery, limited. In your twenties you will probably face employment scarcity, career opportunities, pregnancies, weddings, life disasters, huge life milestones, and amazing new adventures.

How to Cope with Grief and the Loss of a Loved One
Grieving the loss of our loved ones is like a never ending battle with ourselves. The pain is deep and our wounds are fresh, yet we manage to survive another day without their presence. In such times of tribulation we go through multiple stages of grief, until we are not yet healed but rather saved; for when we lose someone we love, we almost die with them. A part of us is gone, some parts perhaps you may never retrieve. However, we all have a choice to fight through the battle and cope with our emotions. We can learn how to take it one day at a time, or how I like to call it, one breath at a time. By sharing my very own past experience of how I coped with my pain and struggles, I hope doing so will help shed light on anyone who is struggling and in need of some answers. The past few months have been the most difficult I’ve had to face. My patience, strengths, and weaknesses all have been tested. I have watched my universe flip upside down and have gotten to see life, the grand world I live in, and everything around me change dramatically, causing a shift in the way I see things, and influencing my perspective on living, dying, and all in between. I now see things in a new light because of it, almost like I have a new pair of eyes, seeing for the first time.

The Moo Cow
On September 1 of this year, I was scrolling mindlessly through social media and I saw a constant. It was repeated over and over by different people from various places of the world and all different walks of life. They all said, “I can’t believe it’s September first.”

Finding Happiness
Happiness is a big notion, people struggle to find it their whole life. What will make you happy? What is it? I wonder that all the time. They say finding love will make you happy, having kids, having a career... I've found love, I don't feel the need to have kids, and I don't know what I want to do. But I have found love; he makes me very happy and I'm told that should be enough. (I'm not supposed to say 'should' as there's nothing you 'should' do but what you want or have to do.) It's enough for people who are, for the most part, content with themselves and their world. I feel as if it's nearly enough, but I still have a lot of growing up from my childhood to do, both good and bad. I have to get over my overwhelming thoughts of not being perfect, as perfection is an ideal and not a reality. I know all these things, but still don't believe them wholeheartedly.

Stop Paying Your Fantasy Self to Ruin Your Life
You're doing it again. Standing on the stage, millions of adoring fans chanting your name while you shred on that shiny red guitar sitting in the back of your closet. Maybe you're high up on the steps of some Tibetan monastery in perfect tree pose.
