Self-Confidence
Once upon a time, there was a little girl who never allowed fear to cloud her actions and lived her childhood to the fullest. Her environment was filled to the brink with encouraging and supportive elders. As she began to grow older, her world suddenly came crashing down. Comments about her skin color and her hair were thrown at her and none of them were positive. There were such a few selections of representation around her that it was almost impossible for her to relate. Society became the evil stepmother, often out to get to her and almost every time succeeding. It didn't make it easy for her to love the fact that her skin color is equivalent to chocolate and the beautiful and spectacular fact that everything about her is a mixture of her mother and father. All thoughts running through her mind were negative and it was revealed in her composure and the way she spoke about her appearance in public. Self-consciousness engulfed her like a flame ready to destroy every part of her; without giving her a chance to even tame it or put it out.

God Wasn't There (Ch. 3)
Scars tend to be a multi-faceted thing. When you're injured on your surface, those wounds tend to heal without much scarring. Generally, the deeper the wound, the bigger the scar. While there are always exceptions to the rule, most people walk away from an injury with some kind of marker or reminder that that injury happened.

Inspirational Books to Add to Your Collection
I am an incredible fan of the written word. Since a child, I would indulge in different worlds through the covers of some of my favorite books. I would lock myself in my room until finished; sometimes going an entire day without food or sleep. While I cannot devote as much time to reading as when I was a kid, I still love adding to my reading list each month. While I don't discriminate, I do go through phases of what type of books I like reading.

Wisdom, Judgement, and Experience
"Wisdom comes from experience. Experience is often a result of lack of wisdom." ~Terry Pratchett You've heard people say "don't judge me" or perhaps you been told at some point "you're so judgemental." Further still, you've probably been guilty of both.

How to Be Happier
Everyone gets to a point where he or she finds themselves looking for ways to be happy. One thing that is important to know is happiness is an emotion. Duh, but it is impossible for someone to be permanently happy, every minute, hour, and second of every day. Just like any other emotion, your happiness can go up and down. What we all wish to achieve is being content. Satisfactory is a fantastic feeling. Satisfactory is when one day you may not be having the most magnificent Monday, but overall, you are content with your life.

The Bumpy to Road Self-Discovery
Wesley McAvoy in the motion picture Wanted, when put under duress, shoots the wings off a flying housefly, I mean, which person can really do that? A day or a few hours earlier, he was a simple account manager working a boring day job and was on his way out to buy some drugs for a condition he was suffering from, and at that particular moment, less than 12 hours later, he was among a group of world-class assassins, shooting off wings off flies. How life can change at the blink of an eye, literally. The question that comes to mind when watching this motion is how can events in life, conspire to lead a person to a mundane lifestyle, and the same events, or what by some is referred to as fate, jolt a person a totally different lifestyle within a few hours.

Desire and Acceptance
Today, in a world like ours, we all have desires. We all crave for something. Material or immaterial, it doesn’t matter. We all want something(s) in life. However, as miserable as things are, most of us never get them. And those of us who do, realize that their expectations were much higher than their desires.

How to Live a Positive Life!
It's crazy how, nowadays, we go about our lives with labels plastered onto us. The common ones can range from what our zodiac sign is and how that relates to how we act whereas the others are what we are internally going through whether that be anxiety, depression, and so forth.
