Justice Is Blind

Dear Heroes,

As a kid, I never had anybody to look up to until I grew older. I realized that sometimes we have to take things into our own hands and that I was blessed to experience, learn, suffer and feel everything myself; otherwise, I would've followed "human" common sense and not what is in my heart but, this is not about me. This is not my Story. It's yours, and I dedicate this piece to you with all my heart, love, and respect. My heroes, I will make sure your deeds are remembered, and I know that you shined so brightly that they took your life because they felt threatened by the most powerful weapon on Earth that you radiated inside of you, love.

People would say that the world is not fair, and I have to accept that justice is blind, and there's nothing I can do about that. That's what the average person would think or say, right? and then continue living their lives as if nothing happened, staying in a place where they feel they fit in, are safe, or belong. Thanks to you, I am not the Average Person. You have inspired me to go to the beyond, literally.

Princess Diana, your heart radiated light. You shined so bright that I could feel your love in my heart and see the sparkle in your eyes. It wasn't just sparkle, but it was depth, pure love. People don't know what it means to follow your heart these days, to walk a path of love and not just one decision made off it, you lived your entire life after your heart, and you let me know that it was okay. It is okay to love so much, it is okay to feel more than the average person, and it's also okay that I can feel other people's emotions. I learned that they are not my own, that you are not the emotions you feel, and that they are happening to you and for you. If I see the moon, I do not become the moon. The same way that I see that I'm feeling sad, but I'm not sadness itself. The real you is just the observer, untouched, and lives forever.

Jess was a Stranger to me back then, now my Soul Sister that showed me the purest of kindness. She saw the pain in me, but she didn't hesitate a second to express her love and empathy for me, even tho she didn't know who I was. A person that I feel a deep connection with that reaches beyond the stars of infinity. There's no other person I'd look up to besides Jess and the other Legends that I am mentioning because she's just like them. You made me believe in union, kindness, friendship, soul family, teamwork, and a never-giving up Spirit. I didn't believe people like you existed until I met you. You were God sent to make me believe again, to have faith in humanity again. Nobody in my life has ever been this inspiring to me, not just inspiring but inspiring me with love and care to keep pushing, never to stop walking, and always to look forward and never look back, only when it's time to heal. She taught me that you couldn't rewrite the past. It won't change, it stays the same no matter what we do, and the best thing that we can do is look forward and write a new Future.

Martin Luther King Jr. I've always been keen on making the world a better place, and when I was younger, I went to a school named after you. I recently found out who you are, and I felt like you were part of my life. You let me know that nothing is impossible to fight with powerful words and not violence. You changed the world with your words, and let me know that I can do the same. Sometimes the journey is long, endless, painful, and exhausting, but you'll never stop dreaming if you keep going. It's always been my dream but, sometimes I doubt myself. Maybe I do not have the skills for it? Maybe I do not have the strength for it? Perhaps it's something I am not supposed to be doing even tho my heart screams this is what I yearn? All I am good at is words, speeches, and love. My words are powerful. They are raw. They are filled with emotion and wisdom that I have experienced and carried throughout life, and the endless pain taught me it's a blessing. Sometimes my words hit hard, and people call me blunt and bold, but my words will stick, and they won't forget. They will remember, think and feel. You taught me that I could change the world with just my words and that war is not necessary.

You all have inspired me to never give up on my dreams, regardless of how crazy they sound or of how impossible they might seem. You taught me that love is sacrifice, and If I do something, I shall do it with all my heart and the purest intentions. That the road gets dark, lonely, and people will misunderstand you, mistreat you, and even kill you, but that's not a reason to stop because if your lover would stop thanking you for loving him, would you stop loving them? The same way you saw the world and the people that needed you, regardless of whether they expressed gratitude or not you helped. Even tho you are not present in my Earthly Realm right now, your Light still Guides my Nights, and the love I feel in my heart still inspires my Spirit. Your enemies are now lost grains in the sand, faded memories dissolved in oblivion, but you will live on forever and leave a footprint in eternity. Legends never die. Your legacy is being written every second of your heartbeat while you spread love and kindness and your pure actions speak genuinely and humbly for the righteous person you are. You always were. And you always will be. Evermore.
