It's not that you're not working hard enough, but the way of thinking needs to be updated

The way of thinking determines success

By Sheryl E DavisPublished 3 years ago 4 min read

Everyone aspires to be a better version of themselves, but there are no shortcuts to whatever you do.

Behind all the good life is the result of great efforts made. Because life will eventually reward every serious effort of people.

After all, people who speak with results are the ones who can become winners in life. Learning the mindset underneath will allow you to win in life.

Develop a growth mindset

There are two types of human thinking patterns: growth mindset and fixed mindset. The growth mindset was proposed by Professor Carol Dweck of Stanford University in the United States. In Professor Dweck's view, we have a growth mindset when we believe that intelligence and ability can grow. Conversely, when we believe that intelligence and ability are fixed, we tend to have a fixed mindset. A person with a growth mindset is very different from a person with a fixed mindset when it comes to effort, challenges, failures, successes of others, and criticism from others.

The growth mindset works best when faced with setbacks. We often encounter setbacks in our lives, from a bad day at work to a big loss at an important time, setbacks always come "uninvited. When we encounter setbacks, if we have a growth mindset, we will not rush to escape from the setback scene but will face the setback, reflect on the reasons for the setback, and think about how to do better next time.

When faced with criticism, people with a growth mindset can draw useful advice from the criticism of others, while people with a fixed mindset "personalize" criticism as a disapproval of their value, and even though the criticism may be constructive, it is harder for them to draw useful advice from it.

A growth mindset can be found in all aspects of our lives, from the smallest question and word to life choices and personal achievements. In the eyes of a growth mindset, the world is full of opportunities to develop themselves, so they will look more into the future and pursue their inner goals, and their lives will ultimately be very different because of the difference in their mindset.

Don't be afraid to make mistakes

It is human nature to make mistakes, after all, we are not born knowing, for everyone, even if the strength is strong, good luck, it is possible to make mistakes. Just for the strong, lucky people, the success rate of doing things is a little higher. Don't be afraid to make mistakes when doing things, and don't be afraid to lose face, be brave enough to do it.

Brave to start, things will be half successful, insist on doing, and things will be forty percent successful, the remaining nine percent, depending on your strength, the remaining one percent, is the component of luck.

As Einstein said, "A person who has taken a wrong turn on the road of scientific exploration is not a bad thing, not to mention what is not a shame, to be brave enough to admit and correct mistakes in practice."

It is evident that only by truly recognizing our mistakes and correcting them can we slowly progress and become better.

To learn for life

Learning is the way for human beings to understand nature and society and to continuously improve and develop themselves. Whether it is a person, a group, a nation, or a society, only through continuous learning can we gain new knowledge, grow our talents and keep up with the times.

Nowadays, society is changing very fast, and we have to keep learning to cope with the current work. Not only do we have to learn new knowledge, but we also have to learn new tools to use, learn how to use new ways to communicate with people, etc.

People also need to understand each other's psychology and thoughts to get along with each other. Our children are also independent individuals, not set in stone, we also need to learn to communicate with them in a way that does not make the generation gap bigger and bigger, and finally no communication and communication.

More and more new things, knowledge, skills, and methods not only let us think in progress but there are also more and more scams, scams let us prevent. Learn to understand all kinds of information, in addition, to improving their understanding, but also learn to protect themselves from harm.

Warren Buffett, the God of Stocks, said something similar: reading and learning are habits and beliefs that he has maintained throughout his life. He grew up reading and learning in a sea of books, spending a lot of time reading news, earnings reports, and books after waking up early every day and also learned the skill of PPT at the age of 88.

From Warren Buffett, we can see that maintaining lifelong learning should be a continuous learning process throughout your life.

No matter what stage of life you are in now, learning should be a comma, not a period.

Don't judge a person or a relationship by the same way of thinking as before. People are creatures who are always changing, and things have long since changed!

It's not that you're not working hard enough, but your way of thinking needs to be updated. Don't form unconscious inertia in your day-to-day life, think differently, and the world may be more open.
