In the Mediterranean

My skin was feeling the extreme heat, drops of sweat covered my white dress, but thank goodness for that fresh haircut, it was the best decision I could have made for the summer, while turning over to see the coastal town, I felt that blessing of cold breeze touch my face, giving me the encouragement needed to just jump right into the clear blue water that I had been glancing at for minutes. The dive below revealed so many fish, corals, and a world of beauty, while swimming towards the shoreline, you can look over to see that there were so many mountains that seemed almost nearby yet were very far off from reach, and so I decided to give the town more of an exploration, walking out the water, I made my way to the mini-shops in search of food.

While slowly guiding myself towards the shops, I began to notice crowds of people glancing over at me everywhere, anywhere. There weren't any exact facial expressions, so I could not tell whether or not they were polite or judgy stares, but I noticed nothing wrong and so one or another didn't bother me. When getting to the end of the town, I noticed an event attracting a lot of people, when getting closer, I see lot’s of women wearing black and having a brunch with one another, subconsciously I thought, this is an open event or gathering, with that I walk in and grab myself a plate of one of the freshest strawberries I have ever seen throughout the past years. While walking around eating my fruit, I noticed the women were talking and smiling so deeply as I passed by, with one thought of it, boom, it came into my mind, that because of my white french veil and my makeup, the attention I was gathering was legitimately understandable. Later that evening, as the sun rose down we danced to the music of the country and so left it to be.

One thing which never happened that night was introducing myself and my story to the rest of the women, preferably I’m one to stay a mystery. As it got late, I decided to go back to my apartment with one of the most glamorous and simply breathtaking views of the coast. Morning arose and I decided to go for a ride on my bike. When near the village, I see women wearing white veils and intensely magnifying eyeliner. Blown away! Finding myself in question, have I created an image for the rest of the women to look up to? Joyfully I continued to ride around and around, so it be, when I passed the exact same location of the gathering, only to see the women wearing the exact same thing, I got out my bicycle and screamed with joy, “what is this?” They all looked over and with huge smiles on their faces told me “you” “you inspired us.” Rushing to one of the chairs on the coastline, I shared a bit more about myself and where I came from, fairly more than a look, I knew we had to do something together, and so, four months of planning, working, and creating led to the launching of our newly created fashion line.

Our mission was to motivate every young girl to dress to express and educate, as there is nothing more important than for one to have that freedom. With the line becoming a huge success, we began to travel across countries to add our touch for many companies and children, adding a touch of embellished color and glitz. Oh, so that trip to the Mediterranean became a lifetime experience, lesson, and most importantly adventure. Where will I go next? I am not quite sure yet but so will I tell you all about it in my next story.
