Important to let go of things for success
Let go!

Despite the fact that to-do lists are useful tools for many individuals, they can easily take over our lives, making everyday activities seem like simply another thing to tick off of an endless list. If you're anything like us, you may even include simple things such as make coffee' on your to-do list simply to be able to check something off your list first thing in the morning. Similar to how-to-do lists may serve as excellent reminders of what we need to prioritize and concentrate on, developing a to-don't list can assist you in remembering what you should avoid doing and making saying no to things that don't serve you a bit simpler.

Creating a to-do list is frequently the most effective method of prioritizing what is most important. It assists you in making certain that the most critical activities are accomplished first.
To-do lists function in a similar way, but they require you to make a deliberate effort to avoid the things that either distract you from critical work or prevent you from achieving your objectives. In case you find yourself getting sucked into social media when you should be working on a project, or if you find yourself getting sidetracked from your financial plan by chasing after every shiny new investment opportunity, creating a to-don't list may be a useful tool for staying away from the things that take up your time and energy.
Begin by thinking about your goals and the things that are important to you, such as your job, family, community, health, and money. Then, write them down. Then make a list of three to five things that you'd want to commit regular time to throughout the course of the week.
Maintain an eye out for things that tend to get in the way of your day-to-day activities when you create your list of items you want to either add or keep. Examples include watching too much television or having unexpected business or social responsibilities come up at the last minute.
Note that if staying up late watching television during the week means you get a late start every morning and have to use the weekends to catch up on work, postponing the time you spend with your family, you should put that information aside for future consideration. Possibly, you say yes to too many duties that you despise, resulting in a lack of time for self-improvement or physical activities.

Once you've compiled a list of your goals and objectives, devote some time to compiling a list of your daily activities, including the most basic tasks, such as getting dressed and cleaning your teeth. It may be beneficial to use a spreadsheet or an online template to keep track of the time in fifteen-minute intervals for this purpose. Please keep in mind that the purpose isn't to cease all things that don't directly contribute to your stated objectives, but rather to observe how you spend your time, particularly when you aren't thinking about it explicitly and default to a mindless activity.
After that, compare your two lists and draw lines or give numbers to your objectives and the daily chores that will assist you in achieving those goals. Examine everything that is still on your to-do list to see if there are any things that are keeping you from making progress toward the life you want.

Once you've compiled a list of chores that don't add to your happiness, look for similarities in the things that aren't working for you. As you think about it, you may discover that saying yes to a work invitation that you didn't want to go to but felt forced to go prevents you from making progress, or that you avoid scary assignments by spending too much time on screens or engaging in pointless hobbies. Knowing where you spend your time will help you ensure that you are devoting your time to the most important things and that you are progressing with your goals.
