I Reached 10,000 Followers on TikTok

Today is an exciting day. 

I have finally reached 10,000 followers on TikTok. 

This is absolutely insane to me. I did not expect to reach this goal, because it's not easy to get views through the app. I guess posting mini horror stories eventually paid off in the long run!

I thought I wasn't going to hit my goal this month, but then I received an unexpected view count on two of my videos. Again, I'm not sure how the algorithm works on TikTok, but two horror stories blew up on my account!

I had briefly mentioned the Alice in Wonderland horror story in another article, and it now has about 615,000 views!

The second video went over a story about a cult (and yes, every single story on the account is fake), and it got about 400,000 views!

I'm not sure how this happened, but it helped me reach my goal of 10K followers!

I was finally able to apply for monetization on TikTok!

I'm genuinely curious to see how it is going to work, since I did hear that you will only get paid through the Creative Monetization Program if your videos are a minute or over. I'm a bit confused with how this works, since my videos are less than a minute, and I still was approved to apply for the program, because of the other criteria I met:

1. Be at least 18 years old. (I'm obviously pass this age now lol).

2. Have at least 300,000 views from your videos. (I definitely hit pass the mark with this view count)!

3. Reach 10,000 followers. (Finally)!

I was told that I will hear from the TikTok program within two days, which is the first day of October. (Perfect timing).

This was pretty shocking to hear, because I thought TikTok would take longer to approve creators. There is quite a bit of people who love using TikTok for a variety of reasons after all!

And now that I have officially applied for possible monetization, I will be sure to write a future article about how the program works. I personally find it annoying that we don't really get a lot of step by step instructions on how certain monetization programs work. 

I would rather read and check out a step-by-step guide to help me with any sort of process for any social media I am slightly interested in.

I will be sure to take plenty of screenshots for anyone interested in reading this future article, so that people are interested in applying for the program will know how it all works. And if I do get rejected for any particular reason, I will also explain why I wasn't accepted into the program. 

Something tells me if that does happen, it might have to do with the one minute videos criteria, but even if I do, I will start writing mini horror stories that are a 1 long. I'm not sure how to make videos that long with pictures and sentences, but I'm going to figure it out!

Halloween is right around the corner, and I would love to create horror stories for any potential horror fans on the app!

And I want to clarify just in case...every single horror story is not REAL. A lot of people would leave me comments of whether or not these stories are real. I always keep in mind that young audiences are checking out my stories, and I don't them to be exposed to REAL stories.

They are 100% fictional.
