How To Change Lifestyle In A Calm And Positive Way
A more relaxed and comfortable life of mine

7 years ago (before Covic-19), I always felt stressed and “unbreathable”. Everything to me was very heavy because of work, finance, family and so on. But, I couldn’t find a way to escape such the burden though I always wanted and needed it.
I used to ask myself: how would my life become if I had been kept going on the same way like that. The question was remained in my mind all the time, especially when I feel much more stressed. I didn’t have an answer for that. Everyday and everything was the same during 19 years – quite a long time!
However, I always tried to keep calm as much as possible in every problem, every communication and even in my work as a Sales Manager in an international group, while I kept my inner issues without resolution. It was a very big problem then.
Nevertherless, nothing is impossible! My life became a little more better after I had a health issue which led to a big and risky decision for me although I knew I would face a lot of challenges ahead.
What happened? What did I do? And how would my life become better?
It was just small actions, but major and positive result after I temporarily stopped working for 4 months due to my health issue, which was not an expectation but a good chance to review all the issues and also to “revise” my life.
So how and what did I do? I would just share it with you if you are experiencing the same issue and situation like me. Just read it for your perception and comment in a good manner. However, it helps me a lot but maybe not for you! Therefore, it may not be a way for you.
1. I stopped thinking about something without a solution for a specific and positive action.
If before I always thought so much about something and just kept thinking about them because I thought it was a way to relieve the stress, after experiencing the health issue, I started to keep my mind as stable as possible. Every early morning at 4:00AM, I got up and walked to the park quietly for two hours, realized every foot step clearly together with my steady breath without thinking anything.
At the park, I found the best and the most quiet corner. I sat there, took some quiet breath, and precepted the peace around me. I would say that it was the moment which I really felt the inner peace and clarity, which I had never experienced before.
I was determined to do that consistantly for two months. As a result, I really had no stress, no thinking much about something unsolvable. Just had the positive thinking in my mind and most of the difficulties were solved easily and fast. A good mindset was set up. Indeed, it was what I experience.
Lesson: clean up the inner messes by stopping thinking about something without a solution for a specific and positive action. Plus, make your high determination but naturally (don’t force to do something reluctantly). When you repeat it long enough, you will be able to overcome your difficulties and challenges sooner or later. Meaning, you have defeated the “ghost” inside.
Think smart, don’t overthink.
2. I stopped trying to do or to fix everything at the same time if unnecessary.
In the past, I took over so many tasks in the company and I had to take full responsibility for everything although I had the staffs. I was overloaded all the time and for many years. I kept working but always rushing. Although I still got the achivements but would say that it was really so hard. I mean there was something unbalanced.
All that impacted my life, my family and my health. I felt lost and stressed.
Everything caused my inner messy and pressure unnecessary.
So after experiencing my health issue, I had more time to review all the issues and changed my thinking.
We need to work smart, don’t work hard.
When we have a destination, we need a path to get there. It was my awareness after getting so many messes in my work and my life.
After my health was recovered, I returned my work and organized the meetings with the related colleague and staffs. New plans and strategies were set up. Everyone and I coorndinated in everything harmoniously.
I was almost refreshed to go forwards. So just a small change in our mind but smart and possitive brings a better result. It’s a good value.
Lesson: don’t try to do or to fix everything at the same time if unnecessary. Instead, let’s work smart. Don’t make something too complicated. Just start with a clear and specific plan and strategy before action. Then, we will be able to make a breakthrough.
3. I stopped mixing work and personal life into one big mess
In the past, high stress and workload made me always have a terrible headache. At the same time, I also faced the pressure on the issues related to my life. I felt lost and mixed up everything into one big mess. I wanted to get rid of it but couldn’t because I didn’t had time for re-setting up something in my mind.
Then, a health incident came up to me but it was also a chance for me to do something better.
It was really the time that I could made my mind and my life changed in the most positive way. A bit funny, I would say that it was actually a “good problem” which I got, but without it, I wouldn’t have known when I could reset my life.
I stopped mixing work and personal life into one big mess. Eventually, I found a way back to myself. I feel happy now. My life has become more balanced and comfortable thạn before. I have more time with my family now and am really enjoying the life again.
Last but not least, it was my fortunate that my health issue wasn’t too serious or concerning. I received the right treatment, even although it took me four months.
